Popular Post @owlstalk
Pulis is understood to have been surprised, disappointed and hurt by the comments made by Chansiri. Sky Sports News were told that Pulis wanted to leave the club with dignity and respect. However, he feels that became impossible to achieve. Pulis offered to leave Wednesday on mutually agreed terms, which would have seen him leave without a payoff, but the club would not accept that and chose instead to sack him. During his short period at Hillsborough, Pulis felt he had a good working relationship with both the players and staff. 1 10 Owlstalk Shop
Popular Post ANDY
I’m not surprised by this. Chansiri is stubborn. Wouldn’t want to be seen as “losing face”.
Silkstone Owl
“He wanted to leave with dignity and respect after just 10 games” Whether he had or not, Chansiri shot that to ribbons yesterday Edited January 1, 2021 by Silkstone Owl

Popular Post WatfordOwl
This was the single most crazy thing I read from the press conference text yesterday. I mean - who does that? Who, when an employee states they want to leave your club/business, takes a decision to pay someone off that would have walked for much less? It's frightening to think how much further this may go, because at the moment, we have a guy at the helm who seemingly takes every communication as a personal slur on him and reacts in the very worst ways possible. There's seemingly no talking to the man and he will not take assistance from anyone who has a past history of the club/game in order to try and see a way out of the mire we are currently in. Deeply concerning of course is the issues surrounding wages. Are we close to the point of where he withdraws any kind of funding for the club and we then get into the realms of breaching contracts and then administration? Truly scary times. 23
Popular Post Bing Cosby
Two sides to every story. While Pulis leaving is certainly in everyone's best interest, my feeling is neither side is blameless in how it all played out. Hope this doesn't drag on, we've got more important things to concentrate on. UTO
Popular Post areNOTwhatTHEYseem
As I said in another thread, I wonder how much Chansiri's decision to sack Pulis rather than come to a mutual agreement has cost the club? The BBC are reporting that "Pulis offered to leave the club under mutually acceptable terms, which would have meant he relinquished his pay-off." If the chairman is in a position to turn down a mutual agreement in favour of paying off a second management team in as many months, then surely refunding the fans shouldn't be such an issue. For those who are really struggling right now, it must be galling to know that your season ticket money is now going into Pulis' back pocket thanks to the chairman who thinks you're 'worse than a customer' for wanting your money back. 27 1

Popular Post Paul..
Pretty sure Chansiri hasn't been called deceitful and disgraceful by a high court judge unlike Pulis so I know who I'm going to trust on this one. 14

He hasn't, but Chansiri has also alluded to the fact that TP was talking about leaving by mutual consent and was pushing for that. Ok - so you can argue that sacking him may be deemed as a more 'honorable' way for DC to part company with a manager that didn't want to be there, but when we are not in a great position financially, it doesn't make great sense to be airing the dirty laundry in public. tbh - given the way things were going, nobody would have really batted an eyelid at the fact TP had been dismissed, but now it has a completely unnecessary talking point behind it and one that's likely to have cost the club again.
Popular Post megsonstheman
Don't believe anything that comes out of Pulis mouth. Chansiri has his faults, but as he stated yesterday, Pulis is a master manipulator of the press. Pulis is stating this after the event to make himself the victim. I firmly believe Chansiri version. Pulis can now go back to selling snake oil 16
bubbleowl
I thought mutual agreements were still a sacking, but was a way for the other party not to have a dismissal on is record

areNOTwhatTHEYseem
Nothing Chansiri said contradicts what the press are reporting... "We spoke about mutual consent, make it easy. He never think about his staff, only about himself. I told him he needed to solve for his people as well... I made a decision to sack him because I feel that my people can do better."
Popular Post striker
I don't trust Pulis as far as I could throw him, neither do I trust Chansiri. But, on the basis of both stories, believe Chansiri. Pulis may well have started down the road of mutual consent, but what's he got to say about his unprofessional approach to trainng and the game on Tuesday, which necessitated his sacking. It's embarrassing for him having been Billy big testicles when he came in, trading on his experience to have been found out so quickly by players and his employer. Good riddance. Terrible decision to appoint him by Chansiri, had his pants down yet again by his advisor, but credit to him for rectifying that mistake so quickly. 14
