The one which fizzed up massively to give pigs promotion the year before last.

But that wasn’t a fitness burnout though as people suggest. Bottle job, definitely but there was no drop in running levels.

Leeds the season before they got promoted.

His season at Marseille.

And at one if the south american clubs he managed.

I remember this was common talk in 18-19

His poor run at Marseille was between December and February, that’s hardly burnout just a loss of form. They won their last 4 games scoring 11 and conceding just 1. Again hardly burnout.

Its a myth that has, unfortunately for Bielsa, stuck because his teams play such an expansive, high tempo football.

I'd tell you to fizz off and do your own research, but I'm a new man this year.  Enjoy

Well done for finding that but I take you didn’t actually read the piece? So thanks for confirming what I’d posted.

It’s explains why, like I said, mental fatigue not physical fatigue would be Leeds’ biggest issue. Turns out it was.

As for Bilbao and the extraordinary circumstances of that season, ie playing 26 cup fixtures on top of the league ones, you could easily see that fatigue would become an issue toward the end the season. As it would for any club without the squad depth of Barcelona or Real Madrid.

Did anybody tell JFH to “get back in the kitchen” or similar misogynistic sexist crap?

I'm sure not... What's your point?  People get abused on twitter all day long... Chansiri young son etc.  JFH has had loads of abuse. He's useless.  Twitter is a poo hole.

Look at lufcs tweet and what they have tweeted previously.  Lufc did ******** all wrong.

I think clubs have a responsibility in this kind of stuff.

They know what gets said and shared on Twitter and such like - giving them a lay up for abuse isn’t a great thing to do

Also, pundits have a responsibility to do their research properly before appearing on live TV.

If she’d have been commenting on one of our games and said, again through no research, United has always been the bigger of the two Sheffield clubs, would you be bothered if the clubs Twitter account posted factual points that debunk it?

Would you expect some form of Twitter backlash from Wednesday fans?

As I said, I think clubs have some responsibility here

There are lots of things said by pundits that are purely opinion driven - she certainly isn’t the only person to say this about Leeds/Bielsa

So you can certainly see why they get so defensive about when there is no evidence to back it up.

It's the easiest thing it the world to revert to when it becomes apparent, you've not done your homework.

Ah yes but Bielsa's teams run out steam at the end of the season. I can't wait for a presenter to reply back, which ones in particular and how do you come to that conclusion?

Of course I can see why Leeds players, fans and officials would be annoyed.

But that doesn’t make it right to invite a mass, sexism-filled pile on.

And they will have made that decision knowing it would happen. They certainly had already had chance to see the impact when the owner doubled down.

Thats where the responsibility lies.

I think that ship sailed long before the clubs Tweet.

They maybe added fuel to fire but did they really invite a mass, sexism-filled pile on?

News to me.  Does that only happen on twitter if a club comments?

Look at what Leeds tweeted... It wasn't insulting in the slightest.

Are you simple, or something? That’s EXACTLY my point

This kind of content of all over Twitter, to then give it a lay up is not acceptable behaviour in my mind.

It’s not about what they tweeted, it’s about what they gave an avenue for.

Leeds need to do better.

You sound like the simple one if we are really going down the uibsukt route.

Karen was going to get digs abuse for talking nonsense on twitter... That's what twitter is.

Leeds didn't lay up or enable anyone.  Leeds reaffirmed they won the league pretty easily... And nothing else. People have responsibility for anything they themselves tweet.

Have you actually seen the Leeds tweet?

Female pundits can't say what they want without reproach just because they are female.  If you believe they should be... Then you are the one not wanting a level playing field.

A better approach would have been to allow their talking on the pitch.

There was literally no need to make the comment - unless of course they wanted to highlight the POV and encourage their fans to pile on.

Because it’s on Twitter it’s going to be hatefilled

They knew what they were doing, and they need to do better

I don’t expect you to be willing to accept that, given your username.

Leeds did do the talking on the pitch.  Instead of focusing on that a poor pundit made up some about a players contract(100% wrong) and then told everyone Leeds got promoted because if covid.(not that it helped... They got promoted because if it).

Nice to think she just told all the players and staff it was nothing to do with thier dedication and good football that season.

It deserved laughing at regardless if it was a man or woman.   The rest.. The I sumrs etc.... That's what the absolute dump of twitter is sadly

The storm has been kicked up and carried on by people like you purely because she is a woman.

And how many times in the past has the Leeds Utd twitter account called out pundits for saying this? Because it ain’t the first time it’s been said...
