We showed ambition tonight against a decent side. We deserved to be in front on first half and although they had better second half performance we still caused their goalkeeper to make best save of match.

We looked better prepared for opposition than we had done in all last 10 games.

I know its not the greatest squad of players but with right manager enough to get out of relegation.

Confidence will be building in side.

Well done to Thompson a good opening game and give Chansiri time yo not rush into appointing another Paixao selection (looks like Poyet). have a look at what is available do not go for somebody that has been out of work for more than 12 months.

if majority of fans have issue wth somebody their is good reason.

Equalled Pulis' win record in 1/9th of the time.

He should have stopped at 1-0 though, by scoring two goals, we run the risk of losing 3-2.  If we had got a third, we would have run the risk of losing 4-3.

Just now, striker said:

They had some very good clear cut chances in the second half and hit the post.

That's not to take away from our endeavour, we perhaps deserved the rub of the green.

westwood only made one save of note that they couldnt hit the target is down to them and nowt to do with us  being lucky .

I think you are lucky if you get away with giving away free shots on goal, even if the opposition fail to hit the target, or hit the post. That said, we deserved that luck tonight and deserved the win.
