The players will have been told this by the FD, they will then have told Nixon. I would expect Bannan and Nixon to speak regularly.

It’s possible some international transfers of funds were being held up for some legitimate reason. Perhaps he wanted to transfer a big sum to cover the next years wages and a transfer kitty in Jan. Maybe the bank queried the international transfer and they had to do some work.

DC’s source of funds is not the UK so he has to play by a lot of rules.

I’m completely guessing of course.

Time will tell.

That’s the most plausible explanation

Large international money transfer into British bank will cause money laundering alarm bells and additional regulatory checks

Still doesn’t excuse the lack of forward planning by the owner to ensure sufficient cash was in the club to pay the wages

Yep exactly. Banks have to a LOT of due diligence these days.

As you say though, still not an excuse.

When are the premier league loans available?

Could it be a loan and that's what we were waiting on?

If so....thats bad bad news.

Why would Chansiri need a loan?

He's minted

More loans = more debts

Only clubs in real dire straits will take that loan. The caveats from the EFL are insanely restrictive. If we take it then it’s not good news atall.

I'm convinced all this with delaying paying the players is some kind of way to diddle FFP.

is it a way to manage cash flow and facilitate waves of season ticket refunds ?
