Mrmason69
Pullis may have started unreasonable demands on the owner. It's possible he wanted to start picking the team himself. Or, he wanted to decide who the team signed in the next window. Dear me. How unreasonable of him. After all its Sheffield Wednesday.

Don't worry there's plenty more to come as long as we have this owner. Over 4 years ago I started to see what he was up to. I did say that this mess was coming. Sadly there's no way to get rid of the owner other than him getting a worldwide ban from football. That's what he deserves. And it's we need.

He would have been promised funds and isn’t getting any. Bonkers Firstly, where did I say that he walked? Secondly, how can you possibly know what he was (or wasn't promised) regarding transfer budget? You're treating your own baseless speculations as fact and then using them as your source to prove your points? Animis
I take it Gardner's gone as well with Thompson in charge. Presumably Thompson will also leave once the new manager comes in, which isn't great for the players.
Mick70
Only posted yesterday about we seem to sink further to new levels ( after the windass speculation on selling him for less than we bought) you just cannot make it up? We’ll never know whether pulis would av kept us up but we only 3 points off safety with January window days away? Who knows pulis might av pulled it off! Big ask whoever comes in cus looks very unlikely they any money? Seems our only chance atm Is picking a total attack minded side Rhodes brown wotever and av a go but we’ll end up loosing 5/6 -1 every game? The squad just not good enough pulis Vogt language last week when holding his head in his hands looked like he been in the job 12 month not 6 week

We will now have five weeks of speculation on who the new Manager is going to be, with one week for the new Manager to organise nothing in the transfer window. Let's be fair though, there was a large section of the fanbase who would never accept Pulis. May as well bring in Phillip Cocu, Giovanni van Bronkhorst or their Portuguese Messiah Carlos to preside over the final tier of this clust3r f00k cake ball debacle. I think we can assume Pulis was on more than 7k per week, and CHANSIRI did not want someone telling him the truth. All the best Tone. The last bit is about right. Pauli’s told chansiri how it is and we all know chansiri only likes yes men. Chansiri s way or the highway. Unless he pulls a rabbit out of the hat we are down and out.

theowlsman
To be fair, he was no better than Monk and some of us said so at the time he was appointed. 1

And stating we won’t stop up without that level of investment. In that scenario, I would have a degree of sympathy with DC. Will his pay off exceed compensation from Newcastle, or refunds owing? Popular Post prowl
I've not had time to read the whole thread. What I have read is pretty much what I would have expected. Well this is a surprise. Not totally unexpected but the timing is dreadful. We were effectively relegated last night. I'm surprised Pulis has been sacked, he made the fatal error of winning a game and then drawing one. It seems that seals your fate as a manager at Hillsborough. I don't much care who our manager is, I know a lot of you have big concerns but they last such a short time I can't see that it's that important. I support the current manager, I supported Monk until he went, I supported Pulis. He's no longer our manager so I will say I don't like his brand of football particularly but when you need to get points and you have a dreadful squad he's one of the best at getting you out of a desperate situation. If he'd been supported by such simple acts as paying the wages on time and bringing in a few players in the next window we would have stayed up.Pulis knew what we needed, he probably had a few players lined up to bring in on loan. All that has been thrown away. That's why I say we are now big favourites to go down. I don't care who we bring in, I don't think they can assess the squad, bring in players and sort out the problems before we get cut adrift at the bottom of the division. Relegated by new year, maybe not statistically but practically. Who will be the next manager, I don't care in the slightest. It's irrelevant because the manager is no longer the issue. It's higher, it's at the top. Mr Chansiri has had my support so far, but no further. This is indicative of a man who will not learn, will not listen and invariably gets things wrong. He has no deep feelings for the club. He's put money in, I can't fault him for that but it's ended up with us having no manager, a dreadful squad and a toxic fan base. Football is in the blood or it isn't, you can use money to buy success, you can use clever and astute business sense to build a club on the cheap. You need good football people to advise you on that. DC has picked poor advisors and is now paying the price. Mr Chansiri you said you would leave when the fans no longer wanted you, I don't speak for anyone but myself but I think it's time you went and left us to try and pick up the pieces of this once proud football club.
