Dylan93
I think it’s a good move. Runs all day but lacks quality.
Bluesteel
One thing I have learned in recent years is that fees mentioned in the press are usually wrong 99% of the time
@owlstalk
The Record's report adds that Wednesday's Championship rivals Bournemouth and Watford are also keen on signing Windass and that the 26-year-old is "holding talks with all three clubs, but would prefer a move to the Premier League". Especially when you consider, as you say, that he appears more of a number 10 than a number 9. Selling him for £400k would be a bad move. One of the few shrewd investments we’ve made. Got to make a profit on it.

Bluesteel
If we have cash flow issues then it could be predicted just like P&S issues and dealt with accordingly. Like perhaps signing a balanced team rather than collecting expensive centre halves?
northeastowl
I guess breach of contract would be enough to allow him to have talks with other clubs. Be interesting to see who has leaked the story, presumingly it’s his agent. Surely we aren’t desperate to sell that we’d let him go for that price. Or the only way we can pay the players wages is to sell someone. As it stands we surely are going to be in some form of embargo so going to struggle to replace him if he goes. So It seems you’ve made that bit up? Not made up, just tried to rationalize it/make sense of it. Until everything unfolds, no-one truly knows This is what I would try and arrange if possible. But, what we'd like to do and what we can do may be two different things. Lets see if any sort of loan agreements come out of it. Fingers crossed. @owlstalk
From a financial point of view we need to be making a profit on this move From a player perspective Pulis will never be utilising Windass in any capacity or position after January anyway so makes sense to move him out as fast as possible as he'd not even make the bench in a Pulis squad Owlstalk Shop
vulva
Wait till we find out half of the 400k is owed to Wigan as a sell on clause.
Weshallovercome
Did anyone else read about this and chuckle inanely? Just when you think the club just couldn't get more insaner, it invariably always does. I've now reverting back to early 70's mode of just going along for the (bumpy) ride and finding amusement in the little things.
