He has barely played any football now for 2 years. If we're bringing him back as a coach that's a different question, but not as a player for me. He's well past it and a bit of a kn*b IMO. 2 years? He played 24 times for us last season - 6 less games for us than Luongo despite the fact the manager chose to freeze him out from late January onwards. Spuddy01
Absolutely not. I liked Sam, but he'll spend more time in the treatment room than on the pitch, complete waste of money.

BIG D
Is he 10 x better than anyone else we have in that position? Its a yes from me.
TomBee
All our recent successful periods he's been involved in, and vice versa the shlt times. No brainer if it's a 6 month deal.
Sheff74
It's abundantly clear that many supporters are stuck in a time loop, and can't move on from that play off final team. In reality he was one of the players who should have been replaced that summer. From his point of view, I suppose it will be one last jolly on the gravy train, as long as he doesn't mind getting his wages in installments. What would that even have to do with the ridiculous failure of the club to have had one single successful transfer window since then? The fans don't buy and sell players—the club do. He's completely unreliable, and I am sorry to say that it is no coincidence that 2 of the last 4 managers couldn't work with him and his bezzy mate Westwood. He should have been replaced, or at least upgraded 4 seasons ago, but some can't see it. I agree with regard to the club's transfer policy though. But it's due to the failed transfer policy that anyone wants him back at all. I suspect most if not all Wednesday fans know full well he should've been replaced, but we didn't even though we've had more than long enough to do so. That's the issue. The fans have nothing whatsoever to do with this.
debram
Can't fault his effort and would no doubt add some steel to midfield, good squad addition to help us out of the mire but worrying injury record.
Lombardo
We are so thin on the ground that a little more experience, and if he comes cheap, will help.

Jim
Looking at today’s matchday 20 and there are some who would turn their nose up at Hutch. We’ve got a desperately weak squad.

I think most can see it, that fault lies with the club, not the fans. The fans are simply being asked if they would bring him back now. Based on the line up we are fielding today, it is difficult to argue he wouldn't get into the starting 11, never mind be worthy of a place in the squad. We are now in a position where we desperately need results and a bit of fight. I'd prefer us to find someone in form, maybe from the lower leagues, who would improve us now but who also has his best years ahead of him. Our transfer policy since our last promotion from League One suggests its not something we seriously consider.

BIG D
The anti-Hutch brigade reckoned he would be earning 10 bob a week in Cyprus so shouldn’t be too much of a strain on our cash situation.
