Popular Post lanzaroteowl
More likely 3 years ago after the Huddersfield semis when we should have sacked Carlos. 23
SallyCinnamon
I’d say earlier than that. A year before when Carlos got the boot. We’ve been crap for quite some time now under the current ownership.
Holmowl
1. Started when Fletcher ate that dodgy Vindaloo in December last year, with us 3rd in the table, on a run of WDWWD. 2. Then worsened when we brought him back 2/3 fit for a flippin FA Cup match. 1. Bad luck 2. Bad management

matthefish2002
I think our problems go back to gambling going up in the play offs the year we lost to Huddersfield and didn't have a back up plan if we didn't. The club has slowly unravelled since.
Manwë
Our problems started as soon as we got relegated from the EPL (could argue before that). That led to debt and unsustainability, or a level of sustainability below ourselves (IMO). That led to Wednesday fa s giving up their shares so a foreign billionaire could take us on. That led to a foreign millionaire without a clue taking us over. That led to the greatest amount of incompetence this club has ever seen and all sorts of bad decisions. GLOwl
Could go back to when fatty Dave Richards got his childish revenge and sacked Big Ron. That then lead to Jasper Carrott getting the job and he took over a great team on the up but couldn’t improve us or keep us near the top. 4

airborne_rat_of_s6
All started when we bought the likes of Abdi who offered nothing and rinsed the club of cash. All helped by the financial fuckwittery of some within the club.

We were in or around the play-off positions and it was obvious Monk had 1 way of playing successfully and needed Fletcher for that.

Either way, the chairman thought Danny Wilson was the best man for the job and he then rode off into the sunset in early 2000 while we limped to the relegation we have never since recovered from. Happy days.

What on God’s Earth made it necessary to play our recouperating fragile lunch-pin in the FA Cup R3? Madness.
