Who can blame em

It's gotta be one of the worst clubs to play your football at this one

No half.

Imagine confidence boost it must give players like mat penny to have manager telling press there isn't a left back at club, or likes of Izzy brown who can't get more than 10min cameos in a side that can't buy a win, and on top of hating being treated like that you are not even getting your wages on time.

Club is an embarrassment top to bottom

From BBC's report on the wages situation.

However, while it is understood the EFL is yet to be officially notified of the situation, it does has the power to impose a transfer embargo if they deem it appropriate, which would potentially prevent Pulis bringing in new players during next month's transfer window.

If that happens? Then we are doomed.

Well Done Gary Monk.

Well done Gary Monk for putting that squad together. He had nothing to do with paying wages and you know that.

Don't think you're quite following the thread of this conversation lol

Look on the bright side. At least we’re still in tier3 and can’t watch these poor little lambs who are ‘only’ being paid up to 7k a month!!

You're mocking the players whilst missing the bigger picture that it's YOUR football club and it's results that suffer

The fans are the biggest losers in all this

Like with Wigan, no one will care either except us Owls.

Sportsmen, OK that is their job, they are on fixed term contracts to do their job / trade. Just like industry, if your contract is not been honoured you would probably walk out or not put all your effort. If you were a self emplyed builder and half way through a project and the householder said, sorry I can't pay you, would you just carry on spend your money time on the build. Guess the answer is no. This is there job, nothing else.

Why should we expect them to play well? They are not all  fans of the club. It's a job which is fairly short.

So you don’t blame them for not trying and don’t blame Pulis for any of the recent run of performances since he arrived.

For those saying ‘sell the club’ - who on earth is going to buy a club hemmorhaging money amidst a pandemic? Absolutely no one.

Good point, but you’d be surprised- the likes of Ashley will have a team of businesses in decline that have longer term potential.
We’ve been a cyclical team for the past 60 years, and although we’ve not hit rock bottom, we will come good again over the next 10 years.
The issue is that the owner is unlikely to write off the money he has effectively lost already.
