Regardless of what the players are paid. It's just another in the long list of crap we are seeing from the owner. None of this is healthy for the club whether it be, paying players on time, not submitting finances on time or using FFP loopholes. It's time to face up to the facts the club is sinking and the worst thing about it is we can't do anything about it.

Perhaps we could have a collection for them!!🙃

Regardless of salary size you should receive it on the day expected and in full.

putting aside the sums of money footballers are paid. This just makes our club look really bad... recruitment in January will be fun with this going on.

truly shocking and we continue down the spiral... wonder which league we will be in when it’s all done... I just hope there is still a club to support

Seriously though, what can we do as fans? We could protest but what good is that and would Chansiri even take notice or care? We could boycott that club, again we can't go to the ground anyway and if the club is struggling financially surely boycotting is counter productive? We could use the supporters trust but as well intentioned as this would be I don't think Chansiri would 1/Engage or 2/ If he did engage take anything on board. What I would like is for some of our more high profile fans and ex players to start to put pressure on him to get this out in the media. At the minute it all just feels hopeless.

You can argue to the death about the rights and wrongs of pro footballers pay - I personally think they are paid too much too.

But you are fundamentally missing the point and don't understand human behaviour and motivation if you think they should be fine on anything less than 100% of what they are owed.

Trust in their employer will most likely taken a knock, they still have things they have to pay for, they still have families to support. If you aren't confident you're going to get paid what you are legally entitled to it's not going to spur you on to give 100% for your employer.

Can only imagine that this thread is full of people holier than Christ and would be fine turning down footballer's wages and living in Hillsborough Park if they were indeed pro footballers.

Absolutely nothing

What will be done will be done

How sad is that though.

Something we have all invested so much time and energy in is being sent to the dogs and there is literally nothing we can do.

Absolutely gutting.

Wednesday fans don't ever protest mate

They sit moaning at each other in little groups instead

(Whilst people give the chairman standing ovations and tell else anyone asking him questions to sit down and shut up)

What happens when you sell your soul to a rich owner who doesn’t understand football or what it really means to supporters. We aren’t the only club to fall foul of it.

You can strike lucky and get a Leicester owner or the new Leeds owner. Or you can get unlucky and end up with a chairman like ours, the blokes at Hull and the guy at Cardiff.

Agreed. it's a difficult thing to get people up and doing.

Ideally a supporters group would do this but it's like being caught between a rock and a hard place for them. if they arrange a protest etc they will automatically be blackballed by the club.

By the fans more

Those fans who storm round everyone demanding they blindly clap every failure of the Chairman

They're like the Chairman's stormtroopers

To be fair yes, the same happened under Dave Allen to some extent. Some will just obey to whoever is dishing out the cash.

It doesn't matter how much they are paid, whether it be 300 quid a week or 30 grand.

They entered into a contract with the football club, who incidentally offered them the original contract in the first place.

It's the responsibility of the club to pay the wages.

We have an awful squad, who are paid far more than their actual worth, but that's not the players fault. Was it Seth Johnson's fault 20 years ago that Risdale went in with a starting offer higher than even Johnson's agent was expecting as the maximum? No of course it wasn't.

Perhaps, just perhaps if Chansiri hadn't wasted his money on players who hardly ever played, or sold players who had resale value then there might still have been enough to go round.

How many players has Chansiri sold in his time here? I can only think of Hunt and Joao.

Whilst no one could have predicted what was going to happen back in March, and the effect it has had on every club, it was very easy to foresee what was going down at Hillsborough. Chansiri has been running the club into the ground with one bad decision after another. We were always going to end up in this situation whilst ever the scatter gun approach was been taken at the top.

The club is rotten, and it's only going to get worse.
