It's not about that though is it?

Imagine you were working somewhere who started doing this kind of thing and only paying you and your colleagues 20% of your wages on time and the rest later on?

What would your perceptions of that company be?

Now - add to this that the customers of this business had bought something eight or nine months ago and yet your company hadn't given them a refund that they requested

It's getting all too easy for Wednesday fans to see issues at our club and immediately try to always deflect them away in the manner that you're doing, but right now the last thing we need is MORE bad news stories coming out of our club.

You need to make your mind up.

Is it a rubbish squad or are they rubbish because of the pay structure?

Under both Monk and now Pulis the team, as bad as they are at times, the players have never looked like they have gone “on strike” at anytime and fees have been paid in the close season within the new structure if it is in anyway true.

Clubs will go under if there is another lockdown after Christmas.  Every business in the entertainment business is struggling with cashflow and maybe, if true, it’s maybe a sign of financial prudence and another swivel re. FFP.

I just hope that DC hasn't been so  stupid  to have bought what is claimed to be a  legal tax avoidance method of paying salaries by some ********** firm of accountants. If so, whilst it may work in the short term,  speaking as a retired Tax Inspector,  the club is quite likely to find  itself on the receiving end of a very extensive investigation, possible litigation and ultimately a massive bill for PAYE, NIC plus interest and penalties.

Can't see it being anything like that

I get fed up of reading how many things that DC does that's against the grain of traditional footballing process.

These are just a few of the strange things we've had to hear. Why can't we just do things the same way as every other club?

Non contractual payments to players are strictly prohibited under EFL rules. Swindon Town were relegated after being promoted in 1990 for irregular players payments and the chairman of Accrington Stanley was required to explain just giving the players money to buy fish & chips on the way back from away games.

Agreed but the payments over and above the £7k are said to be the balance of the contractual payments so if there is a 'fiddle' that would be a very stupid way to try it on.

This.......the stuff that gets implemented at our club doesn’t even reach the boardroom at professionally run outfits. It’s hair-brained, cheap, backwards sh!te that diminishes us.

Im actually amazed the EFL haven’t stepped in on our attempts to sell tickets years in advanced it’s essentially a Ponzi Scheme....

Are the payments coming from two separate sources?  Like does the £7k come from SWFC then the rest from Mr D Chansiri?  If so (and even if not) what's the benefit?  The obvious thing seems like PAYE but surely he can't just give them a lump of their wage without still being liable for the various deductions?

Just not bothered...

Even if true, I would love to get demotivated on a guaranteed 7k a week  MONTH during a global pandemic.

Let's hope this is not another 6 pointer scam.

Surely , it swerves both FFP and EFL's third party payment rules?

Nightmare.
