If you've been watching football for the last 5 or so years you'll know why you shouldn't make those challenges. IMO he'd have been lucky to avoid being sent off.

Most refs would  show red. 

 

He had his foot up heading at the player.

 

Maybe 20 years ago he stays on but not now.

His studs hit the other players studs, if you ban all studs showing then you have to ban tackling...
