One striker Tony Pulis would love to have in our squad right now

We need an Akpo Sodje type. Preferably one that can stay on the pitch. Unplayable though.

He was genuinely worse than any option we have tried up front this season.

An absolute abomination of a player

Apart from all the goals he’s scored that ours haven’t.

Really bad technically and wouldn’t link thinks up but in terms of brute force and power he was unstoppable when he got going.

Pulis wants someone quick and powerful in any case

Any strikers would be an improvement on what we currently have. To think Gary Monk told half the squad in January 2020 that they were goners then spent the next 9 months assembling a striker force of Jordan Rhodes, Josh Windass, Callum Paterson and Elis Kachunga who in 12 games have managed 2 goals between them.

He allowed Steven Fletcher, Fernando Forestieri, Sam Winnall and Atty Nuihu all to leave on frees.

If Gary Monk gets another job in football again, I will be surprised even with cash issues you don't let players 4 strikers leave then replace them with 3 midfielders and 1 striker who used to score goals 4 season ago.

Our spectacular striker force is the reason that we have only scored 1 goal in open play in the last 8 league games. (+1 penalty)

If the club can learn one thing from that it is strikers score goals, midfielders playing up front being called strikers don't.

It seems what you've done here is blame Monk for having to clear out players on massive massive wages that were making us breach FFP and forgotten (deliberately?) that we needed to shed these wages and get spending right down

If we had Joao now he would barely have scored, at Reading he has a midfield that supplies service for him to score goals.

We have central midfielders who sit too deep and winger who never cross the ball into the box, instead they cut in field and shoot off target but we will continue to play a right footer on the left and a left footer on the right. I though modern footballers were meant to be two footed not in our team.

He did have to get rid off all the striker in the first team and the youth team, then not plan to replace any off them, yes the point deduction will have scared off a few but the first striker we signed was a unfit player from Derby after the transfer window had shut for all but domestic transfers.

We then proceeded to sign midfielders that we didn't need and call them strikers and that has worked out so well as we can see by the league.

Hang on - in your last post you were moaning how we'd let strikers go?

lol

Indeed but Joao at Reading has scored 12 goals because he gets good service. How many assist has Bannan, Harris, Loungo, Reach got this season, it might answer your question why we currently sit 23rd.

He didn’t “allow” them to leave . Fletcher went to a better team by choice . Forestieri has been garbage for years and we couldn’t afford him. Winnall is no better or worse than what we have and Nuihu chose to go , probably sick of our muppet fans . All obviously monks fault

Every answer so far is wrong, correct answer is: Marouane Chamakh, Pulis said himself how highly he rated him.

Do you know in his 16 year playing career he only managed to score 71 league goals that an average of just 4 1/2 goals a season in comparison Nuihu is prolific. lol
