I’d rather draw 0-0 with Stoke..

Cant believe the stick Pulis is getting. Our fans are deluded. The recruitment in the summer was awful.

The 12 point deduction has had the affect the efl wanted. Players not wanting to sign. The only ones wanting to sign are your bargain buckets.

We've got to be in the mix by January then let Pulis get some players in.

Problem with Rhodes is that the game has changed so much since he was prolific. The speed is fast and players now need to be more dynamic. Thats why no premiership club has ever been in for him. It's the end of the goal poacher.

It wasn't pretty before he came.

It's not been pretty for nigh on four years.

With this squad the only way to have any chance to win games is keep it tight and try to nick a goal. TP knows this, so this is it at least until January.

Best get used to it.

Don’t be silly.

There are 30 odd games left this season, we don’t need to win them all. We don’t need to win half of them to save ourselves. Thinking you do adds unnecessary pressure and likely returns the type of results we saw in the Luton, Rovrum, Wycombe run.

If we draw against the top half teams more often than not and win against the bottom half teams more often than not we’ll be comfortably safe.

We’ve been abysmal this season and had a six point penalty yet still are only 4/5 points from safety. Our goal difference vs those at bottom is like an extra point too.

The logic is, if we continue like this until Pulis can make the necessary changes, say, if we’re lucky, by mid January, it may be too late. Twenty points by the half way stage, would need us to put together the sort of winning run in the new year, which I don’t think we’d be capable of. Unless we have an amazing window and signed a couple of top strikers early, something that looks beyond us, it will continue to be a case of grinding out results. We’d then be in a situation where we might need to win 50% of our games, a tall order with this squad. Somehow, we do need to start winning games now, it’s no good waiting until January. As I’ve mentioned, I was no fan of Monk at all, but what is the point in bringing in somebody who will only average the same 1pt per game as Monk did? Pulis was hired because people believe that he is the one who would get the most out of what he has available. So in that regard, this start is not acceptable is it?

Agreed if he keeps us up it’s job done.

And I’m no fan of Rhodes but didn’t see any reason to humiliate him like that yesterday. Being subbed as a sub is the biggest insult you can give a player

got to agree , didnt agree or see how it made sense taking him off.

but it was a decent performance today .....we were  rock solid at the back(again) blotted out a superior midfield .....we had little up front but theres bugger all he can do about that till january . .

37% possession AT HOME. Other managers also kept clean sheets, even beat 'superior' teams with the same squad. Whilst also having more possession.

Pulis is sorting it out

Monk didn’t even know what it was

Jos didn’t know who he was

Carlos had the second best squad in the league during his second year and had the slowest starts of any Owls team I’ve watched with Loovens and Lees passing it to each other like a pair of Chuckle brothers.

This team will be organised and harder to beat than before. It hasn’t lost yet with 11v11 and the prospect of Billy Whizz Windass coming back at least means there will be more energy up front than hitherto. We gave Monk a chance - let’s give Pulis a go. The players aren’t brilliant but hopefully there is enough quality and experience to stay up.

Just how were we going to win that game when we have no one capable of scoring goals?.

It’s a conundrum for sure, but one he was brought in to solve. He was brought in because someone believed he was the best manager to get the most out of this squad. Just replicating the results Monk achieved is not a solution

Not seen any difference yet from Monk to Pulis. Not had any new manager bounce.

We drew 0-0 with Millwall last hime game so no difference for me.

The one common denominator again is the players, it happened when Jos took over. The players need to take a long hard look and try and find some inner rage

Sure they’re culpable, but it’s a completely different group of players, so perhaps not really a common denominator

This is like being married to someone who is a lazy, alcoholic, drug taking cheat and who’s let themselves go since the “big day”. You rightly get divorced but make the mistake of marrying someone who is an alcoholic, drug taking cheat who lets themselves go immediately after the “big day”   When asked how the new marriage is going you reply, “Fine. At least they’re not lazy”

What’s your expectations seriously

Depends, with appointments like Monk and Pulis, I really don’t expect us to achieve very much. Probably like most, to accrue enough points to stay up, and to achieve that, we will need to actually win games Draws will not keep us up
