Popular Post @owlstalk
Think it's dawned on Pulis this week just what kind of job he has on his hands at Sheffield Wednesday Watch to the end 6 4 Owlstalk Shop

Bouncing Owl
No doubt a ‘tough gig’. All made the harder by our ridiculous recruitment in the summer. 4

matthefish2002
I am sure Tony Pulis is professional enough to have done his homework on our squad before he took over and knew it was weak. I very much doubt he would go into any job with his eyes shut.
4evaowl
Wonder if he does what Kenny Jacket did at Rotherham...i.e realise he is wasting his time with the players he has and buggers off! He did leave Palace on the eve of a new season I recall.
Popular Post cowl
He's overstating it, of course, but that's only sensible and what you'd expect from an experienced manager. A good January in the window (which will be his responsibility) and he knows he'll be able to sort this. We're not conceding, and weren't even before he got here. And the midfield is actually pretty serviceable still. Up top, yeah, we're a train wreck.

Popular Post daleblue
I always back our Managers, and I'm backing this one, in the past I have done this out of loyalty, and not so much on the credentials supporting their hiring, but the appointment of Pulis has for the first time, in a long time, convinced me that this one is going to be the best we have had for decades and will sort this club out and bring back a sense of pride and a football team worthy of playing at Hillsborough. This bloke is for real, get yer sen strapped in for the ride of your lives, albeit a bit bumpy. 9 1
Sefton owl
He’s exactly the kind of manager that we need at this particular moment and to steer us out of trouble. Has a particular system, knows the division and his experience speaks for itself. Would have been much more of a risk to go for some unknown. I think at the moment we just have to accept we are going to be poor going forward until January. As long as we remain defensively solid, which we look to be doing, we will be on the up with a few new much needed recruits following the next transfer window. Onwards and upwards, not downwards like that other club in the city. 5
