Salaries and transfer spend then reduced so it is fair to assume the next 2 years shouldn't be more than that, if we say £50M each that would be £210M, then add on £60M for the stadium and £30M for the club. So £300M. That is what the outlay on the club can be evaluated to during his time - without taking any income whatsoever into account. As we have been told, our money doesn't cover a lot! However, season ticket money, merchandise sales, whatever commercial deals aren't involved in his own companies and TV money can be taken off that amount so I would be surprised to find he has spent £350M on this basis. Don't worry about facts mate, this thread has seen the headline and is rolling with it!

Surely, if you had spent that much money - and got nothing back on it - you would be asking some serious questions? The thing is, if he has spent £350m and we are where we are, even the most casual of football fans can see that it’ll require a decent level of investment to make this squad capable of challenging for a playoff spot again. Bearing that in mind surely there has to come a time when he or his family decide to stop throwing good money after bad and just cut their losses and sell up. Well at the last accounts his shareholder loan was 80m, plus he bought the shares from MM, put money in as share capital and sponsorship. Don't count the 60m as he hasn't put in that cash as yet. He's not really spent £60m buying the ground, he owned it before and he still owns it. In effect he's moved the money from one pocket to another. I don't doubt for a minute that he's spent a serious amount of money on the club. Funding the purchase and the wages over the years has added up and for very little benefit. With a bit of luck we will now spend money wisely and achieve something. It's been an expensive education for DC, I just hope it's worth it. Django
Imagine buying a run down house. Spending £350m on it, then 5 years later realising it looks worse than the day you first got the keys
0742
Why would DC even say this, does he not realise how obvious it is that it's just not true? And it worries me that TP didn't do his due diligence to know that is complete horse shīt.

The £350m is either a mistranslation or it refers to some other figure like total outlay on everything and ignoring the revenue which is about half the spending, probably more now we’ve cut back
