The recruitment team did that - Not Garry Monk

no - Garry made recommendations on areas of the pitch we need to sign, the recruitment team highlighted players available

he made choices to sign as many CB as he possible could muster to play his shitty 3 at the back, then as an after thought , thought we needed a striker - hence the last minute RB turned striker in Calum Paterson

Two good posts

3 tough games and we’ve only lost one of them by one goal due to a keeper error

Monk has had a terrible pre-season and left the squad in awful shape

Spot on,

Think we would have lost today and at Swansea under monk...

We’ve been much better these last two games. Same lack of cutting edge and killer instinct in the final third but look much more solid at the back and way more organised.

If you try and put things in context, we are woeful upfront without a striker with pace to burn and, although not a striker, we miss Windass.

However, we are solid defensively and Stoke are a decent side.  We haven’t looked like collapsing and the floodgates opening which was a real possibility under previous regimes.  We need to start picking up 3 points given our points deduction but all things considered a draw / point is not that bad against a good Stoke team.

This, the recruitment team acted on Monks requests,  bizarre to try and absolve any blame whatsoever on Garry Monks part for the signings

0-0 boring game but at least we now look tough to beat.
Stoke didn’t look like winning the game and were extra wasteful particularly their free kicks.
So, the plan must be play like we did today for the next two, grind out a couple more 0-0s and then take the next 12 ‘easy’ points after that?

Being a striker in in Jan and then climb up the league!

Just 1 goal from opening play in the last 8 games.

Simply not good enough we need to find a way to score goals or find someone we can bring in who will.

DC recruitment gets worse and worse each year but if we cannot find ways to win games we will be a league one team very soon.

Windass can at least run forwards with the ball and put on a spurt for a return ball. We must have been desperate to take on Paterson
