Same lack of cutting edge and killer instinct in the final third but look much more solid at the back and way more organised. If you try and put things in context, we are woeful upfront without a striker with pace to burn and, although not a striker, we miss Windass. However, we are solid defensively and Stoke are a decent side. We haven’t looked like collapsing and the floodgates opening which was a real possibility under previous regimes. We need to start picking up 3 points given our points deduction but all things considered a draw / point is not that bad against a good Stoke team.

Devonstrix
I suppose looking for positives, Stoke had scored 9 in their last three games. They’d also conceded six in the last two, so I guess they were under orders to tighten up at the back. Not hard against us mind you.
airborne_rat_of_s6
Just makes the decision to give monk the bullet so late look a bit strange. Clear that the squad were playing haplessly before the Wycombe game. That three game run where we were totally hopeless could have been points on the board had DC got rid earlier. CircleSeven
0-0 boring game but at least we now look tough to beat. Stoke didn’t look like winning the game and were extra wasteful particularly their free kicks. So, the plan must be play like we did today for the next two, grind out a couple more 0-0s and then take the next 12 ‘easy’ points after that? Being a striker in in Jan and then climb up the league!
KcebSWFC11
Think we are the only team to stop stoke scoring this month. Decent! Got some good fixtures in December. Tony knows what he’s doing

room0035
Just 1 goal from opening play in the last 8 games. Simply not good enough we need to find a way to score goals or find someone we can bring in who will. DC recruitment gets worse and worse each year but if we cannot find ways to win games we will be a league one team very soon.
