Sheffield Wednesday manager predicts "Paterson could get us 10 to 15 goals from midfield"

Iorfa, Borner

Well he was praising Reach after the Swansea game.

I know he mentioned Iorfa but it was along the lines of wanting him back as soon as possible but then he added.....like all the players who are unavailable.

I can't remember any comment about Borner, maybe I just missed it..

From what I saw of him against Swansea I could actually see this.

Well, maybe 7 or 8 goals anyway—but that alone would be fantastic.

In any case, he looks a much better prospect in midfield than up top. Yes, his ability in the air is useful up there, but otherwise his game seems to lack far more there than it possesses when he plays there.

Best I've seen him play. Looked a handful in midfield.

Haha good comparison. Hes got a long way to go to be a legend like big Bully though.

If this midfield thing is going to work, we need to have a good physical presence up top. We don't so for now I can't see how Patterson doesn't stay up front.

To be fair I thought he looked a better payer when playing deeper in midweek than he did do up top today.

I agree 100%

Strange of Pulis to spend all week saying that Paterson isn't a striker and is a midfielder to then play him up front in the very next match/same week tho

lol

Disappointed by a few of his decisions today to be honest.

Me too.

Paterson up top.

Harris and Reach swapping wings.

Brown for Rhodes.

Right - it's time for this to really kick in now

Second half of the season is where Paterson will come alive and really show what he can do

10 to 15 goals is on par with what Lucas Joao is on already so it's gonna be neck and neck now

Paterson can do this

I'm not doubting Honest Tone at all - I fully believe everything he tells me

Since he got 11 in a season playing for Hearts at right back - then 10 in his first season with Cardiff playing in midfield - it hardly seems a ridiculous thing for Pulis to say.

Then again, you were desperate for him to fail before he even arrived.
