Can't edit, anyway reason I asked was isn't this the same information released when the points were halved? Essentially saying the stadium sale should have mitigated the breach somewhat?

I think the EFL has just produced a report outlining why our 12 point deduction was reduced to 6.

Yeah not sure why it's come out just now - bit weird as it tells us nothing much new other than their reasoning

To point out again that if the original tribunal had decided to dock us 6 points as the later tribunal said should have happened, then that would have been deducted last year.

 

This is because the original tribunal only moved the points sanction to this season as it would have relegated us unfairly in their opinion.

 

6 points wouldn't have relegated us. Logically therefore, the new tribunal should have retrospectively taken 6 points from 2019 20.

 

This is something that might interest the legals if we end up being relegated by 6 points or less this season.

Imagine the kerfuffle had it all gone through a month earlier, they deducted 12 points last season when we looked safe and Monk relegated us, now they say it's a 6 point deduction.

This is precisely the argument of why they couldn't apply the deduction last season; it didn't allow the club an opportunity to appeal.

I think it puts to bed the assumption that we will now have the £38m profit put into 18/19 accounts as well.

It is interesting to note the sentence regarding " overspending by large amounts effects the integrity of the competition" --

 

so just what is the E.F.L 's view on parachute payments then, and why don't they do something about it
