Popular Post Lord Snooty
Sorry for the delay but... That last 30 seconds.... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Well , that was heart stopping stuff wasn't it. Still, I'm delighted with that point, I don't know about you chaps? I mean, this morning when you were thinking about the game did you think we'd get anything , if you're being honest? I genuinely think we'd have got pumped in that game a month ago. Especially with the injuries we've got. That injury time. "Here we go again" But we didn't did we! The first half I thought we were very good. Not just because we did the "Pulis things" well, good shape, solid, the set piece. But also the other stuff. That's as hard as I have seen a Wednesday side graft since Stuart Gray left. They ran their knackers off tonight the boys. But also, genuinely, that first half was the quickest and most accurate I've seen us move the ball in a long , long time. The movement was much better too. Players were taking more responsibility rather than just giving it to little Barry. And it's not just that we were moving it quicker through the thirds....but they were finding each other with it! I mean, it was a total shock to the system. And I don't know what he's done to Reach....but if I didn't know better I'd say Pulis has swapped the white stuff Reach sprinkles on his cornflakes... Old Moses bombing up and down and looking like the player we thought we'd signed. Dare I say it.....I actually enjoyed it I did. Ok, it was frustrating we couldn't hold on for a win. But man alive, I never envisaged I'd be thinking like that after the game as kick-off approached. We can't be too disappointed though, no not at all, because this actually had the potential to be a bit of a spanking on paper. Yes. I'm happy with that all things considered. Man of the match? Honest, I'm not sure. I thought Reach was looking the best he has all season. I think that's the best game I've seen from the boy Odubajo. Bannan looked twice the player he did on Saturday. I also thought Liam Palmer had a good game and got plenty of good tackles in. Thought Wildsmith did well too, never easy coming off the bench as a keeper with no proper warm up. That's a good draw in my book. Yes. We need wins. But I'm happy with that. It reminded me funnily enough of what someone who certainly wasn't considered a dinosaur once said when he was managing (no doubt with the shadow of a world cup as a player in his thinking) Who was YOUR man of the match? 16 1
Morepork
Lots of solid performances. Gonna go for CP. Worked hard, helped keep out shape. Lead by example on work rate as did ML and others followed. Edited November 25, 2020 by Morepork

Guest REDAs_biG_piECE
Bannan More like his old self and his first decent set piece this year Notable mentions for Palmer, Reach, Moses and spunky cameo from Shaw UTO
A E Neuman NYowl
Reach for a superbly taken goal and a lot of hard work throughout. Tom Lees also played well. 1 1

Do you know, I've got so giddy about seeing us out there with an actual game plan, proper shape, with positional discipline and with players working their socks-off , knowing what their actual jobs and responsibilities, the work rate, organisation, determination, spirit, bottle, doing it for the full 90 and stoppages. I almost forgot we scored the brilliantly worked training ground routine set piece!! 6

Ibbo48
Bannan. That little run down the right where he turned 2 players then got fouled in the first half was class . Reach. He looked like Reach again Borner and Lees As above. 1 1

Mike Hunt
Hard to chose between Odobajo and Reach Strong performances all round apart from VA who was promptly dispatched Borner again was solid as was Lees and Palmer Bannan and Patterson did very well as did the lad Shaw when he came on Tactical masterclass from Pulis that first half 1
A E Neuman NYowl
Also. A big shout out for Tony Pulis, that goal was straight of the training ground something we have not seen in a long time.
