McRightSide
Of course he'll continue to improve, but it's clear we are using games to get him up to speed...which brings a higher risk of errors. I have complete faith in the belief that he is by far our best goalkeeping option at the moment.

Especially when compared to wildsmiths last few games. Sorry, I really don’t agree with this.
SiJ
He'll probably pull up with one of those pesky muscle strains that seem to pop up around the festive sessin or prior to an away game which is more than two hours travel.
WalthamOwl
Westwood, Wildsmith, Dawson in that order for me. Next season I think Westwood will go and we should let Dawson go out on loan, can’t see anyone buying him. Bring in a new number one.

The whole team should have known that Wycombe had a dead ball specialist who could deliver with accuracy. With that in mind is was essential that we had cover on the far post. It was basic defending and organisation If the inept coaching staff hasn’t sorted this then the keeper has to take responsibility and get it sorted Yes he made a couple of good saves but he need to get a lot more vocal with those around him before he can step up Again , not the long term answer . Best of what we have now though

If you weigh up the points he's cost us V the points he's won us, then there's no comparison. Look how organises the back four, they always look more assured when he's playing. Suppose fans have small memories So he’s still living off his form from 2015 then? Brilliant, let’s get loovens and Wallace back as well.

This will be denied flatly—and into the bargain I'll be accused of something back—but come on, admit it, some of you want Westwood to make a mistake. Or at least, if anyone's going to make a mistake, you want it to be Westwood. *sigh* Another one who pulls out the 'hate' card against other fans instead of recognising Westwood has been absolutely dreadful and committed gaffe after gaffe in the games he's played It gets sooooooooooo tedious to have to stop a discussion over a player because someone chucks in a 'hate' comment, gets personal, or tries to use the stuff like 'another stick to beat him with' nonsense Discuss the player not the posters and there's no issue Quite clearly you think people are wrong, that Westwood has qualities and merits that some aren't able to see - tell us about them. If you think Westwood is a quality player say so, point out why people are wrong, give us facts, stats, information and not just the lazy 'hate' garbage ffs 1 Owlstalk Shop

room0035
I don't think Westwood is the problem, the problem is the complete and utter lack of any goals, any services from midfield to get the goals and oh yeah the complete lack of strikers on the pitch and at the club. he won't keep a clean sheet every game but with the inept attack we have currently that Monk built, its the only way we are going to get points because the attack is embarsing. Those shall we call silly billies who though Kachunga, Paterson, Windass where strikers have been proved firmly wrong you can play some one up front but that does not make them a striker. Its like play Dawson in goal and calling him a goal keeper.

That would give you only one game to judge him from The one where he decided to pat the ball straight to their striker on the penalty spot, and then flop down like he'd been shot by sniper, in the worst attempt at a dive since Gordon Watson won that penalty against Leeds 1 Owlstalk Shop

For me wildsmith has improved of late and given his age will continue to do so. Westwood on the other hand is on the decline and won’t get better from where he is now, which is a poor keeper with slow reactions and hesitancy. He’s been poor in his last games for us and sadly I see just more errors like the one at the weekend.
