Sorry but  today we saw in the first 15 minutes..... the future .

Pulis, like most on here, has conceded this squad is "light".

The sending off and howler from Westwood are not his doing.

I doubt the likes of Jurgen Klopp could make turn this situation around quickly.

Judge his football and management of the team after 6 months.

Similar to when Monk was in charge, some people will post more when the team has lost.

Again we have changed at a bad time. What is Pulis to do with this lot?

I can’t remember a time where we had a half decent manager that was able to have a full preseason with a fully assembled decent squad.

This is our problem. We are scrapping around last minute with late signings or loans. Changing managers so they rarely have their own choice of squad.

Mismanagement at the top.

Today was Pulis trying to do something with a bunch of players he probably doesn't want after a week of training.

You can't judge anything yet.

and who probably don’t want him Can’t be much fun playing that type of football

The most experienced man to take a look at this squad in year, Steve Bruce, said that it would take at least 4 transfer Windows to sort this squad out.

When Bruce left we let Monk tear apart everything that Bruce had started. Monk wanted to play a completely different style of play.

Now we have hit the reset button again and Pulis has inherited a team that I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t want. But how many transfer Windows will our fans afford him when most have written him off already?

How many times do we hit reset button before someone gets it right?

Type of football?

He's had one game.

75 minutes of which were played with ten men.

He said himself after the game they had been working all week on a 4-3-3 and trying to get in behind with pace and get players like Paterson and Bannan in the box but that it was all out of the window after the sending off.

Once Windass got red carded, all the preparation done in the run up to the game went out the window.

Hard to judge us going off what happened today.

Partly agree with that, Monk took things in a totally different direction with some extremely poor signings, however, we’ve just compounded the situation by continuing down that route. Yes Pulis is a safer pair of hands than Monk, but that doesn’t say a lot. We’ve just brought in another manager who doesn’t suit the bulk of the players we have. Why? However good some of us believe Pulis is, he won’t be able to do much until he gets enough players in to enable him to play a certain way. Surely it would have brought in a manager who would have the nucleus of a squad that could play the way he wanted.
Why keep making these about turns, meaning every new manager then requires 4 windows to get the team functioning.

I don’t get this whole 4 transfer window thing.. Bruce just said that to manage expectations and to buy himself time in case 2019/20 didn’t start well. As it happens he wasn’t here for it. It’s just managing the media and fan base

We can do it in one summer transfer window like 2015 where we went from a 13th mid table squad to top 6. We need to spend money though and we haven’t in years.. that’s why we’re rubbish. Not replaced any of the attacking players who’ve left

Who knows what type of football we'll see?

If its long ball, like when he was in charge of Stoke, and it works to get us the points we need, then yes it'll be boring but it'll get the job done.

If its more on the ground, like when he was in charge of WBA, and that works, then it might be a bit more easy to watch, but again if it gets the job done then its all we need at the moment.

For me, its a case of beggers cant be choosers n all that at the minute, we need points to ensure safety, and as long as we're still in the championship next season, I couldn't give a shiny one!

You could make that excuse whatever happens on the pitch Sarge! Always concerning when mistakes come early in a half and we've seen one early in both today

I’m prepared to give a new manager a chance. Who’s to say Wildsmith wouldn’t have made a costly mistake and then folk would be shouting louder for Westwood.
The signs on here are that it could get toxic if things carry on like this. We think it’s bad now...

I thought we were far better with 10 men under Pulis than 11 under Monk
