He said that he didn't think Patterson was a CF. Apart from that Lees for Borner. LB who knows. Either of Van Aken or Penny.
LiamAP22D
no idea who we've got out so hard to pick a team. What's the crack with Dunkley?

cookeh
Best guess is this: Rhodes - Windass Reach - Bannan - Luongo - Paterson Penney - Borner - Lees - Palmer Westwood Paterson used to be an attacking wingback, who'd get forward and was a goal threat from there. Would make sense to put him on the right, tho he did play central mid for a while. Left back is the big problem. Monk didnt get one in, so Penney is our only natural left back. Palmer has filled in over there before so that could happen again. 1
Incognito Owl
With the suspended Harris and suspected injuries, I think 4-2-3-1: GK - Wildsmith or Westwood if ready. RB - Odubajo or Palmer if he's ready, with him just coming back today from being with Scotland. CB - Lees CB - Böner LB - Penney CM - Luongo CM - Bannan/Pelupessy/Brown? RM - Kachunga CAM - Bannan/Brown? LM - Reach ST - Rhodes Bench: Wildsmith/Dawson/Westwood? Palmer/Odubajo? Urhoghide Galvin/Dawudo? Pelupessy/Brown? Shaw FDB Hunt Windass

I don’t think it’s a smart move to play Westwood upfront alone, he’ll need someone to play off him
Errol Flashman
Not saying it's what I'd do. But I've just got a hunch it'll be sumat like Westwood Odubajo Lees Borner Palmer Paterson Pelupessy Bannan Reach Brown Windass Mind. I do wonder if it's a coincidence that Rhodes has done the press conference today... Just a bloke. Being dragged along in a world that moves too quick for it's own good. oldishowl
Can I just say. Moses playing full back at Preston didn’t go well last time and I suspect it wouldn’t this time either. They are diving barstewards and he gives them every opportunity to do it.
crookesowl
We could see Bannan move to the left mid with Penney overlapping. Might be a bit risky though.

CircleSeven
Just realised, Preston was one of the few away games I went to back in 2019. 3-3 after being 3-1 down with 15 mins to go. Bannan, Forestieri and Nuhiu on the scoresheet (as was Lees with an O/G). Smashing sending off for Iorfa as well A victory would be nice but I’d be happy with a 3-3 that’s for sure!
The Night-Owl
I think Pulis will either play 3-4-2-1 like he did at Middlesbrough or considering our defensive injuries he might decide to go 4-2-3-1? Until some key players return or until he can bring some of his own players in. Hard to predict a line up. Hopefully Luongo and Brown are fully fit and I'd be tempted to play Bannan further forward and Paterson in attacking midfield. With Windass or Rhodes upfront. If i'm looking from behind the goal, then the keeper is the nearest thing to me, i.e. at the bottom of the page and everyone else is above. If the lineup goes down the page.. where are you looking at it from? The oppoent's end? Underneath the ground? It's lunacy! LUNACY!

It's sky trendiness and the BBC trying to reinvent the wheel.
