I’d rather support a blunts side than a Wednesday side with McClean in it.

I guess people haven't actually listened to his reasons have they?

Why all the sudden interest in how many of our players are injured?

I thought it was only going to be fair to judge Monk on how well his team and his players would perform THIS season, as so many of the players that were unwilling to perform were obviously moving on because Chansiri is no longer willing, or able to pay such high wages for unfit, or underperforming players. Yet the Monk out faction never blinked when he was not allowed to bring in young hungry defenders and strikers, instead being given perennial injury problems like Izzy Brown, some bloke with a broken leg, another old injury prone defender, a leftover from Huddersfield's promotion charge when he had his best ever season and somebody who is fairly fit but is a converted right back described by Colin as not a very good defender and by everybody else as not a very good makeshift striker. There were six defenders and two CDMs missing at the same time while Monk was here, when we had a bad dip in results against Luton, Rotherham and Wycombe, yet nobody seemed to think that these first team/first choice players would make that much difference. Now that Pulis says 4, or 5 players missing will have an effect on the team everybody suddenly sits up and takes notice! Is Owlstalk now sponsored by Sycophants Are Us?

“Must use paragraphs, must use paragraphs, must use paragraphs....feck it!”

I guess none of us know how much these were Monk signings or DC signings. I’d be gobsmacked if Monk didn’t have strong influence.

I thought buying cheap bits ‘n pieces players was a poor strategy. Buying fewer but higher quality/less injury-prone was a better strategy. Don’t care how good Brown is; if he only plays 15 games we could have spent it better. And I’m yet to be convinced he’s any good even in those 15 games!

Monk had more than a fair shot. Our record for ten months stinks. This season had relegation screaming from the rooftops. The timing was vital too - would you have given him the next run of games? Nine games in 29 days?

Its given the new man a week to see our squad and make some calls ahead of this vital period.

It was the right and only thing to do.

Well said. Double standards, often go unnoticed.
I’m sure I’ve been guilty of it, but the Monk out squad hit new heights.

It would be naive to think the new manager will be bring unity to the fan base.
