England men's fixtures omdt.

Recommended Posts

Wembley has been awarded another game due to covid situation in Dublin.

This means if we win our group and get to the final we will only have played one game outside of England- a quarter final in Rome.

Basically a home tournament for us. Hope we press home the advantage.

I'd take him as a left sided player if the squads are bigger.

I'd be taking

Pope, Henderson, Pickford

TAA, James, Trippier, Maguire, Stones, Mings,  Coady, Shaw, Chilwell, Saka

Rice, Henderson, Bellingham, Phillips, Mount, Foden

Sancho, Sterling, Grealish, Lingard Rashford, Kane, Calvert-Lewin,

Walker and Ings 2 just missing the cut

Squads of 26 allowed. Adjustments made.

The scramble is on for Euro 2021 England tickets.

Loads had their tickets cancelled due to stadium capacities.

Ballots being conducted by both the FA & UEFA. If any organisations can make a ballots of it, it's those two!

Tickets also on sale for the 2 warm up friendlies at Boro's Riverside stadium with an 8,000 capacity in early June.

Strange times.

Looking forward to the Euro's, let's face it football hasn't been the real thing has it, without crowds?

Strange situation though, regarding ticketing. Hundreds having them for the group stages, where 2 of our fixtures are before June 21st & the remaining one after this.

Then the knock-out stages beyond.

The percentages of crowd capacity are already out there, so just imagine the nightmare if restrictions are altered.

So what are the odds of getting knocked out by Italy in the quarters? Don't know the possibility of drawing them in the quarters though, although the R16 game is going to be tough regardless

If both us and Italy finish in either first or second in our groups (A & D) I don't think we can meet until the semi finals.

Does anyone get the feeling that we’re be a complete damp squib... all this if we do this. Usually feel more optimistic but i think because we actually have a good chance I feel it going wrong already

Worse case, finishing second in the group. Next matches in Copenhagen & St Petersburg!

Imagine the Covid hurdles for these.

Bad enough with these 2 Boro friendlies.

Negative test 48 hours before match, even after 2 vaccinations. And because one match is on the 2nd & one on the 6th, another negative test is required for the second match.

Have to top the group. Simple as. Failing to do so would be throwing away a big home advantage.

We should too. Czech are nowhere newr the team they were. Scotland will obviously play to they're maximum like all the other home nationa against us.

And Croatia, though still decent, majority of their better players are 33+ gotta be taking at least 7 points there

Yeah it’s the centre backs and the midfield to a certain degree that worries me. I think a back 4 of Walker Stones Maguire Shaw is possibly the strongest defensive back 4 we can put out. Such a waste not having TAA in the 11 though.

Southgate has delayed naming the squad today

He really doesn’t have a clue does he, never has, never will. How do you not know your squad by now? He’s spent the past year only watching PL matches FFS

Won’t ever win anything with him in charge

When is he announcing it now? Doesn’t fill you with confidence does it?

We have some decent players, but we haven't got a good team.

Dodgy keeper. Pickford has so many errors in him , but we haven't really got many better options.

Poor first choice centre halves - Stones has improved with Pep's coaching and having Dias next to him, but we know he's likely to make a a match changing mistake for England. Maguire just isn't that good. Emperors new clothes with him. We have better options than them, but Southgate has made it clear that those two are his preferred pairing.

Kalvin Phillips, Declan Rice, Jordan Henderson  - simply not good enough in the position they play to influence games at the business end of tournaments.

We have good full backs and excellent attacking options . If Premier League Harry Kane turns up and not knackered tournament Harry Kane, he can win matches on his own. Foden, Grealish, Rashford, Mount  etc  all have the ability and confidence to match the very best in the world.
