TBF I'll take tedium at the moment if it brings results and safety. We've been watching worse of late. Not my choice BTW but 'it is what it is' so we need to get behind the regime, as it ain't going to change anytime soon.

I've been a supporter for 40+ years, but I can't support Pulis. I have more respect for myself than to set the bar so low and waste my hard earned money on this man and what could only loosely be described as football. They say it's the hope that kills you and that's just about expired with this appointment, all that remains is futility. The club isn't the one I fell in love with, it's now just a transactional relationship to give money to an egomaniacal owner who has lost touch with the people who are the lifeblood of the club and runs it for his own personal pleasure in blissful ignorance of the fans. I've tried to find the positives in this, but just dont have the energy. In my time I've supported the club through some really dark times, as well as good, but of late there are only brief periods of joy punctuating prolonged periods of frustration, disappointment and some embarrassment, and this is the final straw. We, as fans should expect better, we dont expect miracles but have a reasonable expectation to be entertained, that after all is the underpinning principle of why we watch football. I dont buy the delusion of the greater good necessitating this abhorrent appointment, but do feel the contempt shown by it. It is now my sincere hope that Mr Mr Chansiri seeks an exit from the club at the earliest opportunity. For those few of you accepting of Pulis, no need to tell me I'm not a true fan and you are, I've made peace with my decision, which wasn't an easy one but stand true to my word. I wish the club well, but this is a journey I'll sit out and wait with interest for the club to be run as a professional sports club, rather than a hobby and done with the clubs best interests at heart. It saddens me what's coming and the damage Pulis will do. For those of you complicit in accepting Pulis, dont say you weren't warned from multiple sources. Opinion is a prerogative, but dont forget your words of welcome for Pulis when you are calling for his head in a few months. Enjoy your 'football' Striker, out. Bye! (Mods, feel free to delete my account, time for a little break after 15 years on here) Hate to break it to you but there it a bit of a pandemic going on and we cant go anyway.
Emerson Thome
I can't say I'm overwhelmed, but to look on the bright side - we had been playing Pulis-ball really bad already under Garry Monk, so might at least start playing it properly with a better defence. As for you being Chansiri’s biggest critic...... Typical delusion. I’m not sure which fans are more deluded, Boro or Wednesday. play offs equals failure. 1

theowlsman
14 pages later and I’ve finally stopped effing and blinding and punching the wall. Welcome to Hillsborough Tony Pulis. Guess I’d better get behind you, though I think you’re the wrong appointment. Good luck

The first manager that has actually had success in the top tier since Big Ron. Most hopeful I’ve been in 25 years. I’m Chansiri’s biggest critic, but credit where it’s due, he’s pulled off an absolute blinder. Yes, I agree. My Stoke supporting friend is very positive about Pulis - says we’ve made an excellent appointment, he’s as amazed as I am at the degree of negativity and doom and gloom on this site. 2
catdog1121
Pulis is not going to light the world on fire but he will be a safe pair of hands, twice the manager of Monk, not that that is particularly difficult.
glynnb
Don't agree with all the vitriolic personal comments and would only hope he is the man to turn us round and develop this fantastic club. UTO
sibon
The news has even made it to the heart of government. Allegra Stratton just tweeted (and deleted) a pic of Tone.

The only way is S6
It's a win win for me. Hardcore clean sheets, grinding out 1-0 wins. Style sacrificed for points on the board We don't have to turn out all winter to watch it. UTO. 2
full fathom five
Was so relieved to see the inept Monk go but feel very deflated by this latest appointment. He'll be better than Monk so that's a positive but that's hardly reason to be ecstatic. Just all feels like a perfect opportunity missed but what do you expect from such a backwards thinking club as ours. Enjoy your football and get ready for the next managerial merry-go-round at Hillsborough in the summer.
Big Jack
I always support a new manager regardless of my concerns. So spin the wheel and lets see.
