If you think the way Steve Bruce left Sheffield Wednesday and how he did it was bad....

Nothing surprises me anymore regarding the football game we love. Over the years it's changed from being a fans lifetime affinity to us being labelled as "customers" of the "industry".  These examples of past behaviour don't bode well for the future and ,as others have said, any contract needs to be foolproof and watertight......if such a thing exists anymore in this "entertainment industry".

He wants the money plain and simple. His agent will ensure a hefty wage and large compensation package, there will be many clauses in his favour. DC needs to walk away, Pulis just wants one last fat pay day.

And he said had decided to leave the club as a result of a "heated" players' meeting on 12 August but the panel rejected that claim, with the judgement saying the meeting had actually happened on 8 August.

"Since the panel has concluded that the heated players' meeting occurred on 8 August, Mr Pulis's explanation for his sudden desire to leave the club cannot be true. There must therefore be another reason," it said.

The ruling also said: "There was in truth no pressing need for the money at all, since at no time was there a plot of land on the market which Mr Pulis was remotely close to purchasing."

He just backdated the meeting.  What's the problem with that?

He sounds like our man, and contractually has probably been Wednesday's manager since 2018.

What about the other one then?

Palace.

He lost the court case, was found to have told porkies and it cost him financially.  But there were no criminal charges against him.

What gets lost in the Palace scenario, He achieved the target set to him of keeping Palace in the Premier league to even qualify for the £2 million.

On style of football alone he wouldn’t be  my choice. On his management record he is by far the best we could hope for.

I personally will judge him on what he achieves or doesn’t achieve on the pitch at S6 and not on what has happened off the pitch at other clubs.
