Goals for average 56 in Championship?   Worse than anything we've done in last 5 seasons.   Dreary 1-0 wins coming up then.

But I'd take that if we don't go for Cook.  It's all about stopping up.

Stopping up would be 5/6 months work - WHAT THEN?

We'd end up being stuck with this chap

We can't just sack him at the end of the season, and he wont' come for just 5 months work

Difference being in his crap seasons he was saving teams at the foot of the Prem.

I think we are looking beyond stopping us now. Monk would have kept us up. Chansiri wants a playoff push.

Pompey? Gillingham? Bristol City? Plymouth?

He was good at Stoke and good with Palace. Decent with Gillingham.

poo with City, poo with Pompey, loathed at WBA.

Boro fans hate all their managers and have delusions that they should be higher than they are so we can ignore that bit.

Isn't that the time when you'd want him to be GOOD?

Even his worst seasons in the Prem were enough to keep poor teams up. Look what happened to Palace, WBA and Stoke once he left them.

Put some dates to those achievements, and currently they don’t look so impressive Like the signing of Jordan Rhodes, it’s another yesterday’s man
