Would you employ this manager?

Here's a managers record over the last three clubs he's managed

It shows how many games we won, drew, and lost, how many players he used in that time, and then (crucially) his points per match record

What do you think?

Should we go out and get him?

Ps - here's Garry Monk's points per game record as comparison

It would depend completely on the context, a record in isolation is pretty much useless, there's a different PPG expectation at different clubs.

Also it's only the past 3 with 2 of them being quite short tenures, so you'd want to look at record other than just the last 3 and what the reason for those 2 tenures being short were.

No it isn't

Those are his actual real statistics and results from his last three managerial positions

One of those - really bad

Two on the trot - that makes you unemployable
Three on the trot - you should never manage again

EXACTLY

Nobody would

Nobody in their right minds would

No Chairman with an ounce of knowledge/experience would

Well you use two games to represent current form, so anythings possible.

So if someone had this record with Man City, Liverpool, and Barcelona it would be the exact same achievement as someone having it with Mansfield, Southend, and Wycombe?

Does this apply to players then?

A striker for instance?

So someone scoring 50 goals a season in the second division but scores zero in five seasons in the Premier League - you'd sign them if you were a Premier League manager because it was slightly harder to score in the Premier League?
