Popular Post Daz 2,949
Got to give credit to the ref today. He didn’t get conned by players falling to the ground cheaply and was always looking to let the game flow. Best referee all season and hope he gets chance to ref at a higher level.
Nero 5,987
Got to agree. Thought he got the first decision (dive) right - no foul - and it went from there. Really impressive.
Nut 899
There were quite a few 'high feet' as well and he didn't blow for any of them.

Onge 1,164
The best refs let the game flow and they set that up in the first few minutes. Really pleased he kept it up all game. If all refs were like this the game would be a far better spectacle as the players wouldn't bother with so much gamesmanship as it wouldn't be as effective.

Agreed - not yet though - we need him whilst we're in this division! 1 Owlstalk Shop
cowl 4,945
Thought the ref was excellent today too. Tried to let the game flow as much as possible. Sick of seeing players just fall to the floor when shielding the ball in a corner and this ref seemed to let a lot of these go.
fitz44 59
Agreed, really rare that sort of refereeing these days. I wonder though if the powers that be might see it as a poor performance for not stopping play for every little technical offence.
0114 4,318
It was a nice change from the usual bump, fall over, free kick given we are use to seeing nowadays. Shame none of the sides on the pitch could play any decent football.
airborne_rat_of_s6 5,510
One Wednesday night seemed to see thru all Bournemuff’s falling over and crappy antics.
james o connor 11,087
To be fair to the bloke he probably felt with all this virus rubbish and being a Wednesday is bad enough , let’s not make things worse and let a painful game flow as beat it can !
northeastowl 2,572
Absolutely, referee was very good today.

Yes I thought he might get sent off for that but the commentator seemed to think it was a good tackle. It's becoming his trademark.
Costello 77 21,744
The key to a good ref is being consistent with his decision making. He certainly did that.
