Big Dunc

If and when we do get rid of our current manager, DC needs to get down to Everton and see if he can get big Duncan Ferguson in as our next manager.

Has a brilliant reputation as a coach, has learned the trade under Martinez, Ancelotti, Koeman, Silva. Ready for a number 1 job.  A usual suspect is the wrong move for us. Let’s break the mould and try a real up and coming coach who has the personality and nous to start sorting this club out. Big dunc would put a rocket under this club, and I would love to see anyone give anything less than 100 percent with dunc on the touch line . 

would he leave Everton where he is hugely respected especially by Ancelotti? Maybe not. But he must be tempted at some point by a number 1 job.

 

and let’s face it, he is Scottish and has a nickname of ‘ big’ therefore perfect manager material. 
 

go get him DC and ignore the calls for cook and other mid tablers.

Would rather have him more than some others suggested.

 

Would need an experienced coach with him like a Stuart Gray or Terry Burton type.

In all seriousness though, this is what I’d expect whoever deals with these matters at the club to be considering. No point looking at the usual journeymen. We need to take a chance on an upcoming manager who commands some respect. (Whilst being realistic about who we could attract).

Can just imagine walking across the South Stand bridge ahead of a game only for the massive sound of a huge SMASH as Chansiri comes flying head first out of the third floor window and  into the cold river below after insisting that Big Dunc plays Dawson because that's what Att wants.

Think we need someone with more experience then a first time manager.
Its probably that Duncan Ferguson would look at Wednesday and see that we could kill his managerial career before it got started.

A proponent of attacking football. Has been brought up by managers who play on the front foot like Martinez. He is at home in the sleeping giant environment like he was at Everton. 

He is perfect for us. As some have said, let him bring in a coach if he wants who has some managerial experience. 
with the right offer we can get him. Like Lampard at derby  and Gerrard at rangers, I think he needs one tough job like ours before Everton give him the big job.

I agree. The OP said he may feel it’s time for a number 1 job. At the minute, we are very much a “number two” club.

did a good job in short spell as caretaker when silva was sacked.

has spent more time coaching at first team level than say Scott Parker did before he got Fulham job , Lampard before derby job , Gerrard before rangers job.

Exactly it looks like he may have a good career in management ahead of him, why ruin that by joining us?
