Reminds me of Oakland coach telling Billy Bean he can't manage under cloud of a 1 year contract, like Monk's roller. There's no faith there. And the players know it. You've been there, Billy. But also Chansiri. And Paxo. And Doyen. And Braithwaite. And FD. And Carlos. And Fessy, Abdi, Urby, etc , etc. Our problems are so big it took a real team effort to get us here. A toxic mixture of intense greed, lack of intellect, inflated egos and staggering incompetence. As ever, only the fans suffer and really care. Yeah COURSE it does We just signed a player with a leg broken in two places to come in as our new captain Owlstalk Shop
theowlsman
In positions like ours, there is always a manager who is available, who can come in and improve things, give the players a boost, and put a smile on their faces, encouraging them to enjoy their football and get results. Our focus should be on finding him, accepting that everything else is outside of our control.

Pastor Kidneys
Garry Monk has spoken for the first time about the signing of Chey Dunkley, and the #SWFC boss is a very happy man.
sternlad
All this goes to show what a shady shitshow football is and always has been. He (Dunkley) should never have been on the list of targets in his present condition. No medicine man could possibly predict the many different outcomes from such a serious injury: he might come back and be a world beater, he might only be half the player he was, he might be forced to retire ...the medicine man (if he even had a medical) took a big gamble with this signing. My guess would be that he will return at some stage but won’t be the same player he was and he’ll end up slipping down the leagues, can’t see him playing for Wednesday this season and probably not ever. 1

Freshfish
...no no ...I’ve got it !! Someone unlocked the cupboard under the stairs and found a pair of glass knees from Jeffers, a metal plate from Ian Porterfield and Llera’s head guard ...paired them with the metal rods and we’re just waiting for Waddles brain and we’re nailed on promotion candidates with a bionic striker with the midfield genius and defensive capabilities all in one !! So why did he ok this one? 1 1

Could be a number of reasons mate really Could be 'here's a player - you can take him or have nobody' Could be that Dunkley is in some way linked to an agent or deal that could land Monk loads of wonga (not saying that is at all the case) Could be that he wanted to risk it and gamble that he would be fit Either way - the club's processes should be that no manager or chairman is ever able to sign a player with a leg broken in two places and metal rods in it 1 Owlstalk Shop
