Our worst ever managers

Recommended Posts

Carvalhal considering the resources he had available to him. The use of players that were not fit. The mismanagement and lack of discipline that allowed players to come and go as they pleased. The ridiculous number of signings that didn't improve the first 11 and the legacy he has left us in that will take years to overcome. But we had a day out at Wembley though!

There was definitely something wrong about Carlos, very much a Charlatan IMO.

But this notion that because he had money to spend, he had some kind of 'open goal' promotion, is to simplistic.

We went crap or bust, & unlike Wolves, hit bust.

Just over a year into his reign, Monk has a record that is in the bottom 6 of Managers in Wednesday’s history and it’s likely to get worse. I don’t see how he’s going to turn this around and as a result if DC sticks with him, we are going to be in League 1 next season and the fans are more than likely going to turn their backs on the club. Why because they can’t continue to treat us like fools. If we can see the problems as mere fans, why can’t the so called professionals? We go down to League 1 again, it won’t be like 2003 or 2010. This time the fans will turn round and say you’re on your own?

Looking back to the summer of 2016 and start to the season is where it all started to go so wrong. Poor recruitment and poor management of players. Maybe its too critical of Carvalhal to put the blame solely at him but stronger managers would have told Forestieri to pack his bags.

What were your expectations at the start of the 15/16 season? When people think about that, I think it’s harsh to say he is one of our worst managers, expectations were very low and we got to the play off final and nobody expected it.

Fitness problems? They still seem to be with us. I’m not sure how much you can blame him.

Look around a bit regarding recruitment, Carlos’ involvement was minimal and we rarely got his 1st/2nd/3rd choice signings in positions.

Agree on the FF point, however I believe the reason he didn’t leave was because Chansiri wanted more than anyone would pay for him (as is the same reason why we’ve only sold about 2 players since he’s been here)

In my time Irvine was the worst, he nearly put us in L2, but we had sheite players then, this current fraud has managed to be even worse but with better players!

throw up between Jewel or Turner for me.

We were two Ndumbu-Nsingu goals away from dropping into League 2..

Truly accused period, a terrible situation which we’re sleep walking into...again.

Don’t forget a small army of loan signings, many on big salaries and yet barely played.

He kept FF, he was the top scorer & we finished 4th.

Hard to disagree with the decision in summer 2016.
