I for one would love Nigel Pearson to come and manage our club - let's be honest though he would never work for Chancer and I would bet that everyone in football knows how bad a chairman Chansiri is to work for (My opinion)

Add to this that Nigel Pearson was complicit in George Hirst leaving our club on the cheap with his old buddy David Hirst and there is no way Chansiri would appoint him - would Pearson want to manage a club that he sees as "shafting his mate's kid" (again just my opinion)

He would actually have to let Nigel Pearson run things top to bottom and this would never happen as it would appear that he wants to run everything his way and does not know how to trust or delegate to others (again my opinion) - which are true signs of leadership

I think he’d tek it if offered, can’t seem him getting owt else in the near future the way it is at moment

Doubt it. Most people will argue that Watford should never have sacked him. They were dead and buried at Christmas and he brought them out of the relegation zone, only for their owner to make a ridiculous decision to sack him and replace him with another european no mark with no record in English football

There are at least 3 managers who are out of work and far better than Monk and no Megson is not one of them.

1. Pearson

2. Cook

3. Howe

My feeling is that only Cook would actually come here

How is Cook better than Monk?

Monk's got experience of these situations and not getting relegated, has managed in the Premier League, has managed in Europe

Paul Cook has never once in his entire career finished above mid-table in the Championship

I don’t think he would take the job. Despite the myth he has said he wouldn’t ever take the Wednesday job he actually said “never say never” but that he quite valued living in the city.

He would be the first you ask the question. But I would be shocked if he took it.

Didn't he say it was all down to having his kids at school and Mrs working here in Sheffield, so if were struggling he didn't want to put himself and them in a position to get bucket loads of abuse and grief.

If the kids are grown up and moved away etc, then he may be up for it.

Then again if he looks at the situation /state of how we've been run....

Well hell probably run away faster than he ever could when he was still playing. lol

You have an utterly staggering viewpoint of the whole situation. Cook gets this mob working twice as hard as the P.E teacher at the helm. Stop talking waffle.

Get ready for all the “he said he’d never manage us” comments.

make him an offer he can’t refuse...cost of relegation against the cost of a good manger who puts you in with a chance of survival.

He was interviewed on Radio Sheffield about 2 years ago...

They asked him directly “you’re out of a job so would you ever consider managing Sheffield Wednesday”.

He didn’t say “yes” or “no”.

His reply was that he lives in the Sheffield area and he and his family are very settled in the area.

He said he likes to separate his working life from his private life....and he loves that he’s free to socialise in Sheffield with no hassle.

He also said he comes across Wednesday fans on a regular basis and he always receives nice feedback....and would like to keep it that way. He said his family life and freedom is really important to him.

All things considered, Pearson is the best of the UK options available His organisational skills might give us a chance of staying up, but if not, he’d be someone I’d entrust with a rebuild. Who knows whether or not he’d be interested On face value, probably not, but at least he knows we do have the potential to sit at the big table He’s also worked with Thai owners before

For me Nigel Pearson is the stand out candidate. He has said he won't manage us because he lives in the area but that doesn't mean he won't. In truth only he knows whether he could be persuaded or not and no amount of CAPITAL letters will change that.

Wonder whether the Covid situation makes the job more appealing now though, with regards to being with family, living at home etc.

Well Covid takes a lot of the socialising part out of the equation now...bring him home!

If he did come...it would either be a complete car crash or he would get us promoted within 2 years.

I don't think it would be boring and mundane either way.

Let's have it!!!

We are the wrong club right now for him.

Hell we are the wrong club for almost everyone right now.

Megson was right when he said whoever gets us to the top flight will be a legend - whatever he said, i'm probably incorrectly paraphrasing.
