I do love how disastrous that spell was, it's comically bad

Van Aken gives it the old 50p head and not content with that...cleans out the teammate in the next challenge

Meanwhile Dawson does his best Captain Sir Tom Moore impression

I've watched those highlights about 20 times and there's always something new. Great recovery from a standing start from Flint and the way he tiptoes across the goal line like he's at iceSheffield is also great.

Interesting the contrast between playing out from the back (not saying we should do this btw our defenders dont have the touch bless em) and the up and under from kick off. One retains possession in a dangerous area; the other gives it away under no pressure. Maybe the idea is just to catch the oppo cold even if it means not everyone on your own team gets a touch of the ball.

When we have the kick off, actually keep it in play and not punt it straight out of touch for a throw would be a start.

We've been doing this 'hoof it forward from kick off' thing for years tho. We can blame Monk for continuing it, but he didn't start it. I think we were doing it under everyone since Carlos.

Does anyone actually know why we seem to do this? Is there a secret within football that suggests this is a good thing to do or is it because we're bobbins and can't actually pass the ball to anyone in our team?

think it was mourinho who pioneered the idea that the team in possession is more likely to make a mistake. sadly recent games suggest we are well capable of making mistakes without the ball too

I would suggest a sustained 10 second Artillery barrage. Then let our lads storm out of the tunnel while their still shell shocked and have a team of snipers on the roof of the South stand providing cover fire, picking off any of any of them that are still providing resistance.

Even then Harris will just blaze it high and wide! 😁

Good to get our eye in early in preperation for the following 89minutes of punting.
