And yet you've been saying how good many of our recent signings are and how great it is that we've moved away from expensive has beens.

A handful of games later and they are suddenly one of the worst squads we've ever had?

This is true Neil^^^

Comparing manager stats is utterly ridiculous

Let me give you an example

Big Ron's squad was like driving a Porsche. Made up of quality parts, running smoothly and with excellent components

Monk is currently driving a clapped out Mini Metro

Saying Big Ron won more races in his Porsche so is a better driver than Monk in his Mini Metro is utter farce

Come on people - you're better than this

Use your noggins

But you said stats were FACT

You're just creating a strawman argument that no one is making so that you can knock down.

No one is saying we should sack Monk because he has a lower win rate than Ron Atkinson and you're being purposefully obtuse.

There's a very clear grey area between stats are 100% true, and stats are 100% meaningless.

Fact is both the stats and the performances are not good enough or heading in the right direction and Monk hasn't shown any ability to turn things around, it's nearly a whole year since we were in any prolonged decent form.

This is the 'losing' thought process that will get us relegated without a fight.

Im not saying tha's relevant in regards to that performance - it was doggy doo. But its not giving them their due. They are one of the league form sides at the minute.

Of course the same can be said of all stats in football. League tables, top scorer charts etc etc.

You could argue it's all meaningless since no 2 teams/managers/ players will ever face identical circumstances.

Still I think its perfectly reasonable to look at this list and say that its indicative of the fact that Monk is doing a poor job.

Whilst acknowledging at the same time that different managers on the list all faced different circumstances and therefore we are not making a direct comparison.

No one thinks Monk should be top of this list. But he really shouldn't be so close to the bottom either.

It's only seems clapped out because Monk is driving it.

Another driver might find it is rather capable than what it seems.

Have you seen the current league table and the recent run of results?

Too early to judge after 7 games but we'd be mid table after 7 games not bottom 3. 3 defeats from 7 isnt the ideal start but it could be worse. Hopefully things will look more positive this time next week.

Manager comparisons are (and always have been) ridiculous

Not the same players, division, spending power, opposition, coaches etc etc

If you were ever going to compare stats of something that should never be compared  it's managerial statistics

It's a farce and anyone looking at them thinking it tells you anything at all is naive beyond belief

It doesn’t show how well he did in the first half of last season. :duntmatter:

FACTS TIME - without the points deduction this is where we would currently be under Garry Monk

We were 3rd at Christmas. The facts show the decisions Monk has made since then have taken us backwards, so much so that accepting 16th place in the division playing woeful football should be seen as some sort of triumph.

What have QPR done to deserve to be bottom of the table on 7 points in your factual table?

Proving Garry Monk is a capable manager when given the tools

He currently has a toolbox with a rusty spanner and a few rusty nails in it

The toolbox he had from September to December 2019 worked OK, he chose to dismantle it.

He doesn't even use the apparent rusty tools he has now for the right purpose.

Oh - so it was Monk that decided that we had to reduce the wage bill immediately to avoid further  EFL/FFP punishment now was it?

But its his squad . He kicked out the old wasters and bad apples and brought in at least 6 players , including one with a broken leg. Those tools as you state he threw out of the box.

Did he reduce the wage bill in December? How?

Didn't you describe most of the players we have let go as expensive wasters or such like?

Monk's said repeatedly that he isn't responsible for finding the players to bring to the club

We had to reduce the wage bill immediately or we'd have got another punishment for FFP - that's not  Monk's fault either
