Given the Inconsistency of Covid Restrictions, is the Government Deliberately Punishing Football?

Inconsistent restrictions? Appear quite uniform in the sports world. Football is punished economically rather severely as is every other sector. Just hits home a little more for me. I’ll get on with it.

The thing is all clubs, including ours, have an element that cannot or will not follow any guidelines that would be needed to safely allow fans into stadiums. Imagine the north stand pointers being told to socially distance or not sing and chant. Or what happens at the end of the game, how do they safely empty the stadium keeping everybody socially distanced. 
 

I would love to be able to go to the games as much as anyone but I just don’t think I could at the moment.

The very reason it is not being allowed.

 

Although if we keep playing the football we are playing, social distancing may not be a problem soon.

Strange rules though, you can go and watch a non league game but you can't watch a non league club in the first round of the fa cup.

My first thoughts were, despite the no fans, isn’t Professional Football as a contest being allowed to be played quite ‘lucky’.... considering the rules for everything else. 
 

When I say lucky - I mean £££££££££££££££
