The vast majority of us made jokes and snide comments when Monk was mentioned as a possible choice. There was a reason for that...hes a merrygoround manager with no history of any success. People started to come around a bit when it became clear he would be the manager...not sure why. He's been a bad choice since day one but we have given him time and forgave him the awful run last season as he didn't have his own coaches/players. Now he does. Even though he's had a few points on the board it's the performances which are alarming. We have no game plan. Long ball hit n hope is not going to work with the players we have. Clueless lineups and strange subs don't help. We are not staying up if he stays. The players are starting to lose any fight or drive they may have had. Think were looking at league one for sure with Monk at the helm. Be tough for any manager tbh with this bloody deduction (after our financial mismanagement) but Monk is def not good enough to save us. The whole situation stinks. People saying "give him 10 games". Why does he need 10 more games to prove he's poo? It's not gonna happen though, Chansiri has fully backed him. He's here to stay and now we will be relegated. We look clumsy and without creativity with the ball and all over the place defensively without the ball. The position we are in meant we need to hit the ground running but we aren’t even taking the game to teams. It seems we sit and wait to see what happens. Marriott may as well go back to Derby for all the chances he is gonna get in this set up. It’s not changed at all pass round the back maybe a pass into midfield that then goes straight back to the keeper who kicks it aimlessly straight back to the opposition. Terrible to watch and unforgivable for a professional football manager/coach to think that they are tactics that are going to win us football matches.
