And midfield is empty. It's odd. Tactics seem all wrong. Had the same thought, eventually when we get the ball they all get in the box. No one left in midfield seems to be able to put that killer ball into the danger zone though. We could have done with just keeping hold of the ball at times in midfield. That doesn't seem to be part of the game plan though.

Beauchief Owl
Monk says we should only be judging home performances base don this season as it's a different set of players. Can't actually see a difference. In any event I'm judging the manager, and I still think he's lucky to be in employment.
slow83
Amazing the change in support for our Manager after all the pre/early season optimism. I took a vow to stop calling for his head a few games ago, interesting that people are seeing the ‘progress’. Let’s pray we survive.

He has completely nullified Reach and Harris, Moses hasn’t got a clue where he is playing so we are open at the back,Bannan is playing on his own in midfield and the front players are just chasing about without any decent ball. Have we created a chance for Marriott since he has been here 1

Not being contrary, genuinely interested as I can't see who else he could really be playing, other than possibly Palmer for Odebajo.

But if you play poor players in foreign positions it’s not exactly going to help. It’s two poor teams today, but we should beat them.

Jim
Who had 0-0 at H-T? 4 Wednesday goals scored in the first half of 23 championship games under Monk. That’s half a season. How he keeps his job amazes me?

TrickyTrev
There are absolutely no goals in this Sheffield Wednesday side. We offer zero threat going forward.

quinnssweetshop
Here's hoping we can turn this round. Two quick goals at the start from Windass, who should be on the pitch, and we'll be all good. Edited October 24, 2020 by quinnssweetshop
Onge
We set the tempo in the first 20 seconds when we almost conceded. Just like against Brentford, we punt a lot of balls into the box which the opposition is dealing with comfortably. We need to have more to our play than this 1 tactic...
