It was actually their response to Phillip of Macedon (Alexander's father).

Quite funny in that he first asked them if he "should come to Sparta as friend or foe" and the Spartans replied "Neither", then came the "IF" statement and response.

This clearly left Phillip psyched out as he avoided conflict with Sparta and didn't invade.

Happy to be corrected.....

Last season again? added to this to get 1 win in 10 Months? Come on Jim,whats the point?

The point is that it is our form, it's part of our records and history, along with no home win in 9 consecutive matches.

That's why we're talking about it and the Sky commentators brought it up on Wednesday night.

Just as we would if we had won 9 home matches in a row or only lost 1 of our last 15 at home. We'd be praising it and be proud of that record.

The alleged 'unbiased' Sky commentators you mean? the ones who talked non stop about Toney, & Brentford? Referencing 'Home' form,at a time when factors that effect home form, are minimal or non existent(nervousness of opponents or home team,to playing in front of a potentially hostile crowd) is redundant.

Thats without considering the multiple other factors that began to effect us at S6 last season, which have been discussed over & over.....

Thats why comparing & contrasting last seasons form, with this,is pointless....Different players, tactics, etc etc...YES some of the old players(and old failings remain...) monk has a big job,but if we lose more matchs at home, than away, its because the manager has his tactics wrong, the players are poor,or quite simply our opponents are better on the day.(for whatever reason)

S6 isnt the Bermuda triangle...

At this stage I'm happy that' we're working hard, looking generally ok and are clawing back.

Of course, I'd like to see some dashing football....but in all honesty...as long as we pick up points...

Exactly , dont care about being entertained just pick up points and no complaints from me . This season is going to be along slog not one for the purists.

If we had played better we would have been mentioned more

Dont see thats relevant mate tbh...supposed to sum up the game, when we see Premier games they dissect the Chelseas & Liverpools when they have a stinker, more so some times than the sides who have just beaten them....We get 'slow mo' highlighted blow by blow of where they have gone wrong........
