'The keeper parries it'

Watch it again, it wasn't a 'bullet' header. CD's reactions were far too slow, straight at him and he wasn't alert enough.

No it was not, think you need your eyes testing. Blame the keeper for the defenders being fast asleep.

My eyes are just fine thanks.

Yes it was bad defending but it was equally bad goalkeeping.

Dawson should have been on his toes expecting the opposition getting a header in. He wasn't, he was caught on his heels and reacted very slowly to a header that was not far from him.

We'll just have to disagree on this one but IMO he is a weak link.

I think it’s harsh to criticise Dawson for their second. Could he have done better? Potentially but, by no means a howler. If he’s on his toes, makes an effort but ultimately the ball goes past him, this argument wouldn’t even be happening.

The 2nd goal was simple. Toney wanted the ball more than Odubajo did.

Guest Hornsby

No Westy is costing us badly, and not just his £1.5 million annual wages.

Surely Chansiri's call , not Monks, but the other 2 are nowhere near.

Brentford's analysis team spotted it in five mins.

And what's Lee Camp doing?

It was poor allround defending on the 2st goal, not just Dawson, the shot should have been closed down,JVA is stood on Toneys toes when the throwings re taken, but as they move up for offside JVA moves away from Toney towards the shooter, one defender has stayed in playing Toney onside and Dawsons parried the shot into Toneys path whose now marked by Bannan as JVA is on his bike AGAIN! Toney acts instincitively and follows the shot in,as all top strikers do,Bannan doesnt react quick enough to effect the outcome.

And one which is targeted.

Can’t be good for his confidence or the defenders when they hear it on a post match interview.

If this carries on, I could see some of the senior pros having it out with Monk about persevering with him? In some games playing Dawson is the equivalent to defending an empty net?

It was crap goalkeeping and crap defending.

Basic parry to the side.

Not helped by the non existent midfield and defence.

The two goals we conceded on Wednesday night were woeful.
