Maybe footys just not for you I love a good pitchers duel in baseball, nothing better than batters being bamboozled by someone mastering their art. Not such a big fan of basketball, whether a high scoring game or otherwise. 20 minutes ago, FreshOwl said: 0-0 is because of over coaching and a reluctance from teams to attack Imagine Fulham going to the Etihad with literally nothing to lose (apart from goal difference)... no reason for camping for a draw, go out there and attack, after all no points if they can't at least score once. Fulham v West Brom... different kettle of fish, do you go all out for the 4pts and risk your relegation rivals getting the 4pts themselves or do you aim to neutralise the opposition so you both take home no points? You can still have your tactical battles but the emphasis will be shifted towards attacking play. 14 minutes ago, areNOTwhatTHEYseem said: West Brom 0-0 Burnley ended the longest wait for a goalless draw from the start of a campaign in Premier League history (47th game). Under my new rules there could be HUNDREDS of games without a 0-0... how exciting would that be?

prowl
Ban TV from showing games. At a stroke TV money stops, players wages drop, gate money becomes very important to clubs and therefore fans become wanted and needed by clubs. All stupid suggestions to reformat the game for TV are binned The premier league is just another league rather than a cash cow for cubs Sky goes out of business The game becomes the peoples game again. Talk of a European super league ends. It might sound radical but it solves all of the games problems at a stroke.
owlinexile
Playing the favourites. 5-0 down at half time. They take their foot off the gas and you lose 5-1. Get 2 points. Hold them to a creditable 1-1 draw, with both goals in the same half. Get 0 points.

Bring it on I say, they have almost killed the game anyhow..just need a final push to say bollloxe to that, ain't going anymore.

They've got 2pts to play for in the second half. If you beat them in the second half you've done so on merit.
