That's like a parking ticket fine is to me.

If you think of the punishments we and others have had in the last few years for not following FFP.

Utter rubbish.

Got to be Wembley.

I know it's a shorter ride for the Chelsea fans, but I'd be happy with Wembley if I was a City fan.

I can't be Wembley as it falls on the same day as the Championship play off final.

Villa Park seems a sensible neutral venue to me.

Surely the date can be changed?

If it can't, then Villa would seem the best bet.

Possibly but with the euros starting less than two weeks later I think they'd want to avoid changing the date.

2.5 million pounds!

That's roughly what that UEFA fine will be.

That'll be more than offset by the way that they manage to wring more out of the PL TV revenue

Surely nobody thought those clubs would do anything other than benefit from their little stunt?

So we are likely gonna have a Super Cup final between the two Manchester clubs....in Belfast.

What could go wrong? lol

Its a real shame Windsor Park won't get to showcase the match properly as its a real coup.

The stadium upgrade is fantastic and a credit to the IFA.

As for what could go wrong... a load of plastic Man United fans getting to watch their team live for the first time. While claiming City and Chelsea fans are gloryhunters.

It would be funny.

You wouldn't expect them to be rewarded though.

The problem is that the top 6 Prem clubs are the attraction of the PL.

I'd add further that they are a very big part of the attraction of the CL.

Absolutely

And it was always gonna be a case of appeasement  because the PL know that those clubs are teetering on the brink of breaking from the collective bargaining for TV rights

So they need to keep them sweet

Got to be millennium stadium surely? About halfway ish. Up to the standard required. No international travel to maintain low covid risk, added benefit of fans attending which would showcase to billions that we are slowly and importantly cautiously coming out of this nightmare.

If the UK government could lend its weight to stopping the super 6, then surely in the interest of public health they can get behind this proposal?

Reading the above UEFA declare Delhi is to host the final in light of Turkey being on the red list.....
