BIRMINGHAM CITY - V - SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY omdt

Recommended Posts

We're playing play off contender football points-wise at the moment, don't let the table fool you because the teams still on 0 to 4 points (best team sits in 17th with 4 pts from 5!) have only got half as many points as us in their first 5 matches.

4 points away from passing our first team - we should celebrate the day we pass Wycombe!

Another 2 points to 3rd from bottom and one more point to claw our way above the drop!

Believe - we got this!

UTO!

Phew didnt enjoy that last 10 minutes one bit

Are they under instructions to just surrender the ball in the last 20 minutes of every game?  They seem incapable of passing the ball after the 70 minute mark.  Had Hogan taken that easy chance, we would have collapsed like we usually do at St Andrews.

Good overall performance though.

Dear GM: plz work on the last 10 minutes. UTO.

When we have proper defenders back I think we will do much better. Flint should steady things down.

I can see us turning into a half decent side when everyone is fit and settled in. Very workmanlike, not fancy, just hard working grafters. That can take you a long way.

Very pleased with the performance, result and hanging on this time. It could have been more comfortable, if we had a bit more luck in front of goal and if we had had one or two more decisions go our way. Felt nervy again near the end but glad we hung on for all three points. It was a hardworking decent performance. Flint had a solid debut for a player that hadn't played before today for a fair while.

Big win that. Anything other than 3 points and the table would have made very grim reading

This^^^

Something against Brentford would be great. Think we should approach that game as an opportunity to get another monkey off our back and get a home win. Should look to play with no pressure on ourselves and just get a shift put in.
