Infairness 1st goal v Bristol City totally lost his man and same v QPR apart from those 2 mistakes hardly anything but both cost us a goal.

If you're a centre back whose mistakes cost your team a goal every other game, then that's quite a problem.

Hopefully he'll find his feet soon.

Fox would have been a very good fit for that left sided centre back slot, if only we could have competed with Stoke's offer.

We missed a trick not signing Sasso as LT replacement for Loovens, since then weve signed a string of bang average CBs weve not had a solid defence since Loovens left, none of our current defenders are of that level, not even close,Sasso was head n shoulders above any weve got on the books now

The keepers keep taking the flack for defensive mistakes, fact is its whats infront of the keepers thats the problem, indecision, poor awareness, poor positionally, every side needs a solids base to build from,we aint got one.

Think we’ve had a few good pairings since Loovens. Him and Lees was very good, also Hector and Lees was OK, as was Iorfa and Borner until Christmas. All those pairings have been better than any three Monk has put together. We’ve conceded at least two goals this season,  by none of the three centre backs knowing who was picking up who We always looked more secure with a flat back four in my opinion, but a good pairing will always beat a constantly changing three

Nah.

Very good player for us, but he's looked all over the shop this season for Fulham.

Appreciate that is the PL, but he's been defending like an absolute clown and was hopeless against Brentford.

Loovens was a proven international player, that shone through, even though we signed way after his best years had long gone,he still had that ability to be in the right place to snuff out danger before it became a goal threat and he organised those around him he dragged the others up a notch, hed lost pace and made the odd mistake, but he was a country mile above these weve got now,I just expect a goal everytime we defend you can see the idecision,Borners awfull, hes just not switched on,the pace is just way too much for him he just unsettles the whole defence with his indecision,as Ive said before, way out of his depth in english 2nd tier football, cant fault his effort, but his application.......hed get murdered every week if we go a division lower,he looks knackered by half time!

Iorfas got a big heart, love it when he drives foreward, but again hes easy to drag out of position, hes a ball watcher and other sides exploit that

Agreed

Could have signed him, Lopez and Fred for next to nothing but we decided it was better to sign vanAken, David Jones and abdi instead for a cool £10million Instead

I think it was more down to the absolute dogs abuse he got from some melts on social media. Now it seems that JVA is the whipping boy.

Really shows the gulf in class when our POTS and possibly one of the best defenders in the Championship almost 2 years ago has been dropped from the worst team in the PL!

I've seen him play a few times this season, he doesn't get the time on the ball he is used to in this division i think. Fulham have gone from dictating games to defending for large chunks at a time, difficult adjustment to make.

This is it, people saying he's been brutal, he's coming up against Aubamayang and co.

The gap is monstrous.
