I said in another thread, Monk isn’t the sharpest tool in the box, and rarely comes across well in interviews, except perhaps to those who are similarly afflicted

He really does come across as thick as two short planks

The multi millionaire Monk being mocked by someone who lives his life on Owlstalk 😁

I know people get excited by deadline day.

But it’s not ideal that every season we are leaving it to the deadline. I still think we are 4 key positions light.

Being desperate on the last day is not a great position to be in.

We generally seem to leave new signings until the last minute and we have seemingly been looking at and/or signing injured players.

I suppose it's needs must and somewhat unavoidable right now, in these difficult times.

Sheffield Wednesday manager Garry Monk today outlined that he's targetted a number of new signings, and also explained how the recruitment process works and that the club takes care of most of it

My job is to say yes

Said it all along

By all accounts he seems incredibly well-liked and respected by those in media, ex-players etc. too.

Funny that, given his apparent lack of intelligence...

ex players, another lot who can’t string a sentence together
