He demands the ball in ******** poor positions when he shouldnt because we have an relatively inexperienced team they then give him the ball in positions they shouldnt he insists on taking free kicks and corners and they are sheite....up there with Kane’s corners for England his goal scoring record is poor his leadership leaves a lot to be desired Without Bannan others would step up to the plate and we’d have a more balanced team in terms of taking responsibility And as a bonus, I’m assuming Joey would be part of the deal otherwise who would pass the ball to him You make a lot of good points. I too think Bannan stifles us at times. Hunt and FDB won’t get better sat on the bench every week. They need to be playing regularly.

@owlstalk
Lots of people slating Bannans set piece delivery (I agree they’re beyond shocking) Blame for that is not with Bannan but whoever instructs him and the team that he should be the one who takes em Owlstalk Shop
FlyingOwl
Sell him if it’s over £5mill Final year of his contract. He won’t be here next season, regardless of if we stay up or down. Invest the fee and wages in some loans that’ll ensure our safety. We’ll miss him but he deserves a chance somewhere better than us and he’s mentioned before that his style would suit a team like Brentford better. What we don’t need is to stop him from going where he probably would rather be and end up with him sulking...as our captain.

Cos his contracts up, he’ll be 31 soon and looking for a final opportunity to play higher or challenge for promotion again. We aren’t gonna be doing that. That’s not me questioning his loyalty. He could have (and probs should have) left a while ago. But footballers careers are short and he’s got every right to have his head turned and go in search of a last hoorah. HarryPlopper
We have a replacement for Bannan. Those saying £2m plus are deluded, at 30 with less than 12 months on his contract - take a low offer and save on the wages. Get him out. Start the transformation of the squad now. The replacement is not one person by the way, it's two. We have Hunt, we have Penney. Between them they more than make up for what Bannan offers if they are on the pitch. 1

McRightSide
We should only sell Bannan if we are planning on replacing properly. Too important a player
