Sefton owl
As per title. Vast majority will agree that he is by far our best player. Would be gutted to see him go, but had a bid come in last season or beginning of this window we could have considered it (depending on price). If we sold him now we would have no time to make a considered effective replacement.
Popular Post 0114
One year left on his contract. I’d sell for the right price with a good replacement. I don’t think he’s fits in a Garry Monk team. Imagine he would be interested in signing for Brentford, they’d suit him into the ground. 18

NeonLeon
Said before in the Iorfa thread. We shouldn’t be letting anyone leave until January at the earliest, even fringe players. Until we’re back in the positives and somewhat safe. 6
Prince
Let him go if the offer is substantial and we can look for an attacking Midfielder who plays in the oppositions half and not ours. We need the cash and he will walk for free in the summer.

Yes financially it would be good assuming its a good offer, but frankly we have only 1 focus and that is staying up. There’s no chance we would get out of this mess without him.
Mike Hunt
But we should follow the Brentford model according to some 1
SallyCinnamon
Would be a good move for Bazza.
swfc1983
Be surprised if they offered more than £1 million with only 12 months left on his deal.
Skyline
Out of contract end of season means bud will no doubt be stupidly low. We won't get any substantial offers for him
deano
Doesn't matter what we would get for him, I wouldn't trust Monk to make the correct signings. 4

Not a bad model. 11
deano
Come to think of it, has Monk made one decent signing yet? A few ok ones but it's all a bit meh. 4

NeonLeon
It would also cost us more to replace him. So even financially it’s not a good move. If we’re in a good position in Jan, and Brentford are in the top 6 I’d happily let him go for 500k as a thank you for his time here. Realistically, bar a minor miracle, we’ll be trying to replace him next summer anyway.
NOT jack whitham
Would sell Bannan no prob, good player but slows down our play. 6
Owlinmad
Doesn't seem like a Brentford type of signing. Barry Bannan will not go to Brentford without his Nanans' caravan ...... FACT.
