beloved_aunt
Looked certs to go down in 2001. Shreeves bringing in Palmer & Soltvedt as a couple of solid defensive midfielders, really turned it around. Also their experience was key in a team made up mainly of youngsters - Geary, Haslam, Stringer et al.

Scott Carson, single handedly kept us in the league.

Add to that I think someone at Sky wanted us promoted as we always seem to kick off before the United games which helped to heap more pressure on them because we just kept winning. Agreed. I reckon it’s the same person who keeps selecting us for Super 6

There were some knobbers near me that constantly went fvvcking ballistic at him when he first joined. After about six games, his performances shut the silly fvvckers up. DSandersonOWL
Mark Pancho Pearson signed from Man Utd to replace injured John Fantham. Saw him score twice (Layne 2 also) to draw 4-4 at Stoke after being 1-4 down with 20 mins to go!
