West Ham have come out and said they want no part of the plans. Seems odd that they where never consulted despite being named as one of the chosen 9.

Don't think anyone has been consulted.  This whole scheme has been cooked up entirely by Man Utd, Liverpool and Parry, and 'leaked' early before they had all their ducks in a row.

Good on them.

Hopefully a few more Premier League clubs stand up for what's right rather than standing by while Liverpool and Manchester United f*ck the rest of the football league.

Interesting discussion on SSN about the proposals. Seems like it is what everybody is thinking a power grab by the top 6 clubs which would mean they could make even more megabucks. They would be able to run the Premier League as they wanted

Also mentioned that it would allow them to show 8 games live through their tv channels to a worldwide audience again making huge sums of money.

said on the Ticker that David Baldwin the chief exec if the EFL is leaving his post. No reason was given but seems strange that it's today. No doubt it will become clearer why in time.

Hopefully, the EFL clubs will now get together and force Parry to resign?

Parry's facade that he wants rid of parachute payments to create fairer competition is now clear for all to see. Yes he has put forward a proposal where parachute payments become a thing of the past - with the cost of this being reduced chance of reaching the Premier League, let alone any chance of success in it as the big 6 take a bigger relative share of income that will be available to those in the top flight.

As the bloke on SSN said giving the EFL 25% of revenue sounds great but the big danger is that because his the proposal is structured they could easily vote it down to 20% or lower very quickly.

This where the clubs you mention need to be frightened

they wont be under the name of PL B teams, they will be called Accrington, Southend etc but under total control of a PL club with teams made up of all their players

there is a chance they could be in control of more than 1 team, with 20 players loaned out to a team in league 1 and a different 20 loaned out to a league 2 team, promotion could cause a problem, but i am sure they can alter rules each season to cope with that

Used as feeder clubs then? Sounds about right

You may be right look at the number of local kids who already support Man city Liverpool etc. Hardly ever go to a game just watch on TV. Even local comp schools get given tickets to the lesser champ league game from Man City. Drawing new fans in.

Listening to the bloke on SSN Man Us chief exec reckons that 1 in 7 of the world's population supports Man U

If true, this is exactly what is wrong with football.

Not just strangling the rest of the English football league, but stifling the development of local football clubs across the globe.

For this to happen 5 clubs would have to be relegated from Premier League one season.

Not in a million years will they agree to that.

It doesn't need to be 5, Just one season with no promotion, it will part of the deal, the top two in the Championship will get a pay off along with the ones in the play off positions

Something needs to be done to get EFL access to EPL cash but this is a power grab using that as cover. Either Parry is in on it or he sees no other way to stop a cataclysm when it comes to EFL clubs. There could be a full season with no fans and how many clubs will go under? Our ridiculous Early Early Bird with no refunds might help us but lots of other clubs will be in huge peril.   Whichever way it's looking pretty grim.

Here's an idea, FA receive the broadcast rights for football as a whole. Distributed 50% PL, 25% championship, 15% L1, 10% L2.

Exclude PL teams from League cup if that's what they want to reduce games, rebrand as EFL cup.

Won't happen in a million years though. It's not about the good of football, it's about the greed of a few.
